FLY VS JERK 14 – Episode 1



The toughest pike fishing tournament in the world is officially back. 8 teams spread out across Europe will battle each other for three days in a test of skills, strategy and endurance as they try to outdo each other in the hunt for the win.

We can’t wait to finally meet you all at the Swedish Sportfishing Fair (Sportfiskemässan) and experience the final of FLY VS JERK 14 together with you guys. March 17 2023 in Stockholm, we’ll be there.

Powerboat/Mercury – Lars Litzell & Pasi Taponen
Headbanger – Markus Teilus & Emanuel Swärd
Daiwa – Kristian Keskitalo & Anders Krus
Nays/Stroft – Dustin Schöne & Daniel Weyers

This season there will be six episodes, released Fridays at 19:00 CET until the 17th of March.

    I like Fly vs Jerk and congratulation for your work!
    But no french angler this year… I'm disappointed!
    I will support Dustin and the "fly" men, the other teams are all very similar from my point of view.

    I so love this! Gets me through my double hernia period (i can't fish…). Shame my favourite team is on a blank at the moment. Keep on hammering double D!

    I think this series should be renamed. Bauer vs Europe. Needs more fly fishing teams. Hit me if you need more fly fisherman.

    Don't like the map and pinpoint on it! And the onair time split between every teams is not even and it's just showing that this competition is not fully even

    I absolutely tune in every year to watch this competition. Like others I wish there were more fly teams to make the competition more even as I most often fly fish for pike. Where I live in Canada simply that is the most abundant species I can access. I do agree slightly with the explanation that it is difficult casting large flies all day; however being on the water means that you do have space to back cast. It does get crowded in a boat though. For that reason my friends and I fly fish from float tubes. We don’t have to cast nearly as often as we “kick” troll our flies over some spots and choose to cast our flies for presention in other spots. Therefore could it be that the competition rules limits the number of fly teams because of the differences of some techniques allowed and the smaller number of organized fly fishing tournaments?

    Alright good first episode But honestly please, there is a few things you need to change, add more Fly Teams, last fun season was when Vision finland and Vision Sweden was in together with Pierre and Trumman in CwC etc and the Finnish guys won. There havnt been a solid season since then.

    Otherwise just change the name to Pike Pro or something.

    This concept started with what method was more efficient, now its which teams are best. Which is fine but atlesst have more Fly Teams to honor the history and how it started.

    Secondly 8 teams is to much to follow, 4 is fine 2 spinn, 2 fly, heck even 6 teams are fine.

    Lastly i know the added extra points from the original concept such as top 5 etc is to make sure one wins and there is no tie but there is to much to follow.

    All in all it was a fun show, and im fully aware that each team pay a hefty price to be in this competition, which is why maybe there is one Fly team only, but us the fans want more, in the end the channels revenue comes from the viewers, and i see more fly teams comments for 5 years now in all your Uploads.

    For those who have not watched the first or early seasons yet who like the concept of Fly fishing vs Spinn/jerkbait fishing i would say season 3, 4, 5, 6 are the absolute best ones. Still to this day FvJ 3 imo is the best one, sure my favorite lost that one but damn was it fun to watch, we also got to get introduced to Pike Fly fishing on another level thanks to the early seasons. Now its 7 spinn teams vs 1 Fly team haha

    With all the different countries it may not be possible but it would be cool if one of the days all the teams had to fish on one body of water.

    Gode ​​fanger Peter 👍😉. Jeg liker virkelig videoene dine. Har sett du ofte fisker i Bergensområdet. Jeg har flyttet til Bergen pga jobb og er veldig glad i å fiske. Jeg vil gjerne finne en gruppe lokale kolleger som vi kan dele en hobby og dra på fisketur sammen med og som kan vise meg området. Jeg ville vært veldig takknemlig 👍😉
