In another era Colin montgomerie would have been a multiple major golf winner tremendous player for Europe in the Ryder cup.
Shame Monty didn't get over the line at a Major – the golf he played either side of 2000 was stunning.

always felt sorry for jvv, his ball was over the hazard, hit the stands and went backwards.
I know exactly how they feel. I was leading with two holes to go and all I needed was to go par par to win. Then the pressure got to me. I then bogeyed the windmill and double bogeyed the big clown shoe on 18. I was crushed.
