Tiger Woods' two NEAR ACES at The Genesis Invitational



During the second round of The Genesis Invitational 2023, Tiger Woods hit two spectacular tee shots on the par-3 14th hole and the par-3 16th hole. On the 14th hole, Woods’s tee shot on the 187-yard hole stopped 10 inches short of the hole, while he hit his tee shot on the 164-yard 16th hole to 5 feet.

Tiger Woods will be make his first official start since The 150th Open last summer at St. Andrews and first non-major TOUR start since the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP in October 2020. The 82-time winner on the PGA TOUR will be joined by all of the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings, as well as 23 of the top 25 players in the world. These include No. 1 Scottie Scheffler who returned to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking after winning by two shots at last week’s WM Phoenix Open and Rory McIlroy, who finished T10 at last year’s event. Local favorite and 2021 winner Max Homa is in action once again, as is two-time winner of the event Adam Scott. Viktor Hovland will head to Riviera full of confidence, having finished inside the top 5 his last two outings. Similarly, John Ram will be hoping to continue his exceptional run of form that has seen him win twice already on the PGA TOUR in 2023 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express.

    Tiger you just ruin my weekend. Sorry guys. I have no loyalty to any players other than tiger woods PGA/ LIV. The next best thing for me is to go watch Charles Barkley playing golf or PatPerez wide gloating that tiger will miss the cut. Bye for now , see you all at the next tiger appearance. Bona fa tuna

    Clickbait next level. Both are great shots, but not even close to be called a near ace. 20 players hit such shots on the course every day, but Tiger is used by the PGA as clickbait. Wow really?

    Tiger will never be able to compete like he used to. Actually his wins might be done with on the PGA. But no one will ever have the same draw to the game as Tiger has had

    For missing a whole muscle in his lower right leg, it amazes me how he's still able to produce this much ball speed. Hopefully he can stay healthy and continue to improve. It would be amazing if he got #83.
