YOU NEED To Try This NEW FAIRWAY WOOD!? UNEXPECTED! – CRAZY DISTANCE With This NEW Fairway Wood!? When buying new golf clubs we always want a golf club that goes the distance, literally. But what if you already have a new driver that you love, you have the latest irons and the best golf bag possible. In this video we take a look at the new Srixon ZX mk2 fairway wood… and not the 3-wood where you want a long possible driver replacement… I’m looking at the 5-wood which I’ve never really considered putting in my golf bag. is this golf club potentially a game changer for anyone wanting to hit more greens from distance and lower their scores? let’s find out… and let’s do it now!

Wow! Those are driver yardages for me. 😮
Was hoping to get your opinion on the Takomo 101s
It looks fantastic. I love a clean look!
It will Will take a lot to take the RadSpeed fairway I’m currently gaming out of the bag though!
When I got fitted for it we found the magic combo. Forgiving, straight and long. It’s been better on course than in the fitting room too. Those rails allow me to be aggressive even in so so lies.
The only downer with it is it doesn’t sound/feel quite as good as some of the competition. That’s the only thing that could some day see it out of the bag.
Great video James!
Thanks James. Interestingly, I Took my 3 wood out and have two 5 woods. One 18deg and the other 21deg, it's made a significant difference to my game.
I noticed that modern 3 woods are almost drivers with their distance, and 5 woods are becoming the new 3 wood. I have a Stealth+ 5 wood with a 42.5inch shaft and it might replace my 3 wood in the bag due to the distance and control I get with the 5 wood.
I would have liked to see the peak height on the 5 wood. the distance is fine but at 3,200 spin unless it's coming in at 45-50 degrees it has zero chance of holding a green.
Wow, that’s a bomber, looks very forgiving too
7 wood Fav, 9 wood next, then 5 wood, and I trust them all!

Can you put that 5 wood against some other clubs like tour edge exotic Callaway ping ect.
Hi James do yourself a favor and get your hips square
3w distance with the benefits of a 5w…..seems like a no brainer!!!!!
You keep commenting about ball flights that are too high but those 'flights' are an amateur's dream.😸
Great video, James: thank you!
James, can you please do a review of the new Wilson Dynapower driver ( both versions )
So confusing with all these great clubs.
I played Srixon before Srixon was cool. 😊
Love the videos, but not a fan of the titles to be honest. They feel abit cheap an clickbaity. Just my opinion.
As I have aged and lost some swing speed I have replaced my 3 wood and 3 iron with a 5 and 7 wood at the recommendation of our club pro. I am happy to report it was one of the best bag changes I ever made . Much easier to launch .
Not for a windy day
Never thought of buying Srixon except around the time they were becoming popular in the eighties but then I had Wilson staff tour blades and I thought I can't get better than those.
That dispersion ❤
Well there you go. That is a weapon
I ditched my 3 wood and bought a 5 wood. Best thing ever. I love it off the tee and its SO much easier to hit off the deck. I am not long enough to reach par 5's in two but this thing gets me close enough. Next in the bag for me is a 7 wood.
Hi James, did you sell your pxg 5 wood ?
7 wood iv got in underrated club 🏌🙂👍well done James 👏
Srixon have really raised their game the past few years and this latest range looks awesome, great review James
I ditched the 3 wood 25+ years ago and couldn't be happier… loving the 5 and 7 wood combo.
Why can't brits say the letter z? Saying zed instead?
Seems like a lot of loft for a 5 wood, normally about 18 degs? saying that it will be easier to hit and lengh doesn't seem a problem.
I do like lower ball flight too tho.
I have a taylor made v steel mk1 with a ghafalloy blue tour s shaft …think it's 16 deg and it's an absolute blast, I can hit that from tee, out the rough , out of bunkers ect only down side is it plays so long i reduced my 3 wood to a 13 deg macgeor mactec and driver wise I'm still on a 9 deg (small headed 275cc) steel 200 taylor made 😀
When I have my bad swinging days I just use the 4 wood.
Actually ended up with a ZX MK2 3Hybrid instead of the 5 wood since I was getting even better distance & dispersion with it. Still gaming my SIM Ti 2 Wood.
I ditched my 3W because I don't have the swing speed to hit it consistently. I went to two combos with a legit + cheat stick: 5W + 7W and 4H + 5H and have been enjoying the lower scores.
When I buy all these "crazy cheating gamechangers", can I apply for PGA tour already 😉 ? Btw, where's the putter that can't miss. Would need this one, too.
When did a club ever perform too well? If I could knock that 250yds regularly I'd Dutch the driver and 3 wood and get an extra wedge. Great review James.
The question for the bag is, if you played your course four days in a row would you feel that club is going to help you make the shots you need to keep out of trouble? You’ll never play 100% on every course, every day.
"zed"🤢
I've been gaming my old Golfsmith XPC+ 5-wood for many years now, which I built myself back in the 90s. It's my favorite club, it's scary long and straight, and it fills me with a tremendous amount of confidence. Tee or off the deck, it doesn't matter, it's so easy to hit! It's particularly good in the rough. I recommend a 5-wood for all players who want an effective, easy to hit wood, irrespective of the brand.
I have the ZX 3 wood and swear by it, I don’t even need to pull out the ZX 7 driver. It always helps me out on the tee but out of the semi rough and fairways it’s brilliant. There is a lot of brand snobbery in golf and people think that anything outside of Ping, Titleist, TaylorMade and Callaway is awful, bad and not worth buying…that’s just nonsense
I have the new mk2 zx5 irons and they are great, Srixon is killing it, cant wait to test the 5 wood
James, getting fitting for Driver, woods n irons in March. With your reviews on new equipment, it will take a month to try them all
Thanks for the heads up wonder how they perform for slower swing speeds
Hey James, is this video pre David Leadbetter or post. The last 3 swings look like the takeaway was inside or it could’ve been the camera angle. How’s it working out for you if your sticking with it. I tried it and had more consistency, will be my 2nd round this weekend, but I’ve been practicing it without hitting a ball in the house. It’s becoming more natural without the necessary repairs practice wiggles
love my 5 wood, great off the tee and i use it to get out of the trees for a low risk low flighted runner that travels well down the fairway.
3 & 5 woods since 1968. Currently at age 70, 4 wood & 7 wood. Hybrids cause a swing change in the lineup. That doesn't work for me.
Looks like a great club!
I play a cobra ltdx ls 17.5 5w turned down to 17. There is no need for a 3w for me. Can land one soft or run one up.
Does it come in a 7 & 9 wood ?
Where do people go to hit on this simulator thing?
