  1. I've always loved ping but my only complaint is the shafts they offer are absolutely atrocious compared to everyone. I would have to buy them and immediately have to pay extra to get them reshafted into my preferred shaft.

  2. You can't go wrong with Ping. I played the I200's, swithed to the I210's. When the I230's came out the thought crossed my mind, but there wasn't much improvement between the other two. I love my irons. Why change.

  3. They won't last longer than a few months anyway. If someone doesn't pay for their clubs out of pocket, It shouldn't count. It's much too easy to chop and change when it doesn't cost anything.

  4. Very interesting iron for sure! I was about to just lead tape my t100 irons (1° flat, extra wrap under the right hand) . Love them but my miss gets going left too fast. Definitely will need to take a peek at these to the dismay of my pocketbook after last years Club Champion fitting 😅 Great video as always!

  5. I bought I525’s last yr and i feel same as Ian, sneaky good irons. Most consistent irons i have ever hit.

  6. Curious what swingweight you are going to play these at? I got fit for them and love them. They seem light though

  7. I get that it's part of the job, but it seems like such a wasteful pursuit of resources etc. Hardly sustainable, though I understand golf equipment is a micro blemish in the grand scheme of things. Very interesting mindset though, to switch year by year. Manufacturing, material, transportation of goods. Not a greenie, but think we should all be better than that. 🤷🏾‍♂️

  8. I know this vis is irons, but the early mention of the G430 got me thinking

I tested the G430 Max and LST this weekend here in Japan. I’ve never played any ping clubs.
I made some good swings and had some decent flights, but really had trouble feeling any face feedback. I had a lot of high spin shots, so I presume they were low on the face, but I couldn’t feel anything at impact to give me that indication.

Has anyone else experienced similar with the G430?
Is there any way that ball quality could have hindered the impact feedback?

I’ve heard Ping are super stable. Possible they were close enough to center to mask the feedback? I.e. A little low, boosting the spin, but not low enough to feel it?

  9. I have a set of 223's and Callaway Pro 21's. Same shafts and same lie and loft (223 adjusted +1°) the 223 starts left and curves left. The Pro 21 is always straight with a little draw. Ping i230's might be a winner for me.

  10. Ping might not always be the prettiest, but they're always top performers. There are no new gimmicks every year, just great results.

  11. Playing for lower scores should be all amateurs mantra. It doesn't matter that you hit a 6 iron 200yrds one time, get it going 170 every time and your scores will drop.

  12. I got a set of I230s and I noticed the same thing. All my shots were now straight with a slight fade. NO MORE HOOKS!

  13. I got these in December and they are superb. Dropped two shots on h//c and im playing consistently well given that in the uk courses are not up to what they will be in a few weeks times. Ping have nailed it with the i230

  14. Pretty sure the 9i should be 41* rather that 41.5! When you keep leaving your 9i 2 yards short you'll know why 🙂

  15. Been a T100 player for years and just made the switch. Not much loss in feel and omg soooooooo forgiving and consistent.

  16. I demo'd a i230 a few weeks ago (just for fun, not shopping) but really liked it. Honestly, it felt nearly identical to my PXG "T" gamers in a great way in terms of feel/workability/forgiveness. Terrific club.
