The PGA TOUR is set for a thrilling week at the WM Phoenix Open as a star-studded field is the focus at the most attended event of the year. Rory McIlroy is making his first PGA TOUR start since winning THE CJ CUP in South Carolina in October. McIlroy has, however, played five times on the DP World Tour since that win, recording five top-5 finishes, including a win at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. Eight of the world’s top-10 golfers are in the field, including world No. 2 Scottie Scheffler and world No. 3 Jon Rahm. Rahm currently leads in the FedExCup Standings and has won four of his last six starts combined on the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour. Meanwhile, Scheffler is looking to become the first golfer since Hideki Matsuyama (2016-17) to win back-to-back titles at TPC Scottsdale. Sam Ryder returns to TPC Scottsdale after making a hole-in-one on the famous 16th hole in 2022. Other names to look out for include Shane Lowry, Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay, who returns after a playoff loss last season.

  1. Seeing Day healthy and Fowler playing well, takes me back to simpler times. Times I enjoy being in.

Fowler shot -3 or -4 and took 4 penalty strokes. Imagine what could have been. I think 3 of the 4 holes he took strokes on he still made par. Ridiculous.

  2. Seeing Rickie Fowler, Jason Day and Jordan Spieth near the top is fantastic! Would love to see one of these three win.

  3. Great to see two Canadians near the top of the leaderboard. What's with the clowns booing, they should boot them off the property.

  4. Great to see the PGA Tour finally adopting the proposal that Greg Norman has been banging on about for almost 4 decades. Supersized prize money and events for the elite players and for the fans. All that’s left is to take the same model to all of the other continents. Big congrats to WM and Phoenix for a great event.
