  1. Better players never buy balls based on drivers distance. Nobody hits ten wedges in a row on the course

  2. I think these balls are great value, cheaper in store, around £25 for 24. I think they spin a little less than pro v1, feel more like pro v 1x. Probably not as good as the premium balls, but not far off

  3. Good review. What are those tees you were using in the simulator? I haven't seen those before (was wondering what they were so I could pick up a few).

  4. Matt, you've been ripped off there. Yesterday I bought 24 for £28. Won't find a better ball for £1.17 a pop.

  5. LOL I find durability tests so funny. As I lose 3 or so every round, they could be made of marshmallow and still last.

  6. As others have said, in store you can get these a lot of times at about $1 per ball. They spin a lot on drivers/woods so they definitely lose some distance and can balloon, but is 10ish yards worth spending 4 to 5 times more on golf balls? It really comes down to how many you put in the woods/water.

  7. The durability issue is real. Costco had to change the formula after Titleist sued them over the original K-Sig ball.

Everyone has their personal tolerances for scuffs, but as a decent golfer hitting less than say 3 “soft hazards” (moderate hits on trees or sand shots), I can get a ProV1 to last 2-3 rounds in very playable condition.

The softer and thinner urethane compound they now use in K-Sig 2.0 breaks down significantly after even one impact or sand shot or even as few as a dozen normal iron/wedge shots as Matt showed.

It would take at least 4x as many standard strikes to see even close to that amount of damage on a ProV1.

  8. On a muddy golf course in Winter with little run, the drop in distance is not so much of an issue. Around the greens found them a lot better than a Titleist TruFeel (also scuff easily) which is probably a better comparison. If you are thinking of buying other more budget balls. Don't, just buy the Kirkland.

  9. It’s a shame no actual informative data was included to show strike location, club speed, smash factor etc to actually back your review.

Saying I hit 10 shots with the driver and middled them is rather misleading, you can see from the shot lines there were some very different shots within the test.

A fairer and more informative review would have been to hit 1 Kirkland, 1 ProV for 10 shots each then compared the results with the actual data and show the averages.

Since you didn’t show smash factor, let’s go with your claim of “middling them” and say you got a perfect 1.5 smash factor that would mean your club head speed was 105mph. 277 carry for 105 club speed seems pretty much on the money?

Appreciated the review and please don’t take this as me being toxic but it seems key information was missed and when you have the equipment there to record the information why not use it and show the audience all the information. Always adds a large amount of doubt in my mind when sponsored influencers don’t include the basic and key information to fairly make a clear, honest review.

  10. They seem to have got more expensive since the last box of 24 I purchased last year, which I think were £25.99 plus VAT. As a senior golfer they suit me very well in price and performance, and don’t seem to cut up at all. 😀

  11. Nope! Tried them last week and don’t last more than a few holes. Would be using two or three every round 👎

  12. Good review but we don’t get them here in Spain. Try seed. I used one for 36 holes last week with hardly any marks. Oh and please straighten up the princes flag behind you in the video, my ocd was troubled 😂😂 keep up the good work Matt!

  13. I found one of these balls on my golf course last week after nine holes. I used it on the back nine and thought it was ok nothing special. I'm lucky that a lot of members at my club use Pro V 1 balls and I have found a bucket load around the course. For me I believe you get what you pay for and Pro V 1 and X are a top ball and I only use them in competiition thanks to the mombers. I wouldn't four quid a ball.

  14. Tried them didn't like them spin way to much with driver for me …cheap though use them in summer no issue due to run out …play a TM tour stripe now great ball

  15. Great review!! Definately still a good buy for the price!!! Taylormade Tour Response….played/loved the Project A and I believe this is the replacement.

  16. Since PXG and Kirkland seem to use the same factory, I'd love to see you do a review of the new PXG ball especially the durability. Of course a comparison to Kirkland, Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls.

  17. Why didn’t you hit 10 Pro v1’s with your driver in the studio, to compare (different days, different swing and rhythm), along with 10 wedge shots with 1 Pro V1, to test durability? Seems like an unfair comparison when you don’t actually hit the ball you are comparing it against. Just my thoughts. Damian

  18. I use these on a day to day, but I switch to a Z-Star for tournaments. One cart path and the Kirkland is trashed.

  19. I played them most of last season and enjoyed them very much. I didn't experience any issues at all. Just as long and straight off the driver as Pro-V1s and I found them just fine off my wedges. Because they're so inexpensive compared to premium balls, I also bought a couple of boxes to put in my practice bucket to hit into the backyard net and to chip around with. I'll likely play them again this year.

  20. For the price and performance how can you go wrong, they spin plenty on the irons, they are shorter then most premium urethane balls but if you lose one , so what! They are made in the same plant and have the same dimple count as the new PXG! Would this be a better ball for an average swinger? Nice review Matt, thanks!

  21. Terrible ball. Spins terribly in the wind You can lose 2 club length. And it’s a hard ball. Worst ball made. Hit 10 out of green side bunker it scars up really bad

  22. I used these for two winter rounds recently and the durability isn’t good enough even for the price. I found with a single full wedge the cover will tear off. I guess if you lose a bunch of balls and don’t have to worry about durability it’s fine.

  23. "Go in the hole, get to the green" is what I say most often with these balls. They just don't go anywhere for me. Always 5-10 yards short
