  1. Why the heck don't they offer the 52-degree wedge in a low bounce? drives me nuts! Great video lads!

  2. Hi gents! Love the video. Is there a possibility of you guys doing a wet wedge comparison for 2023 wedges? Would love to see how the new wedges compare to each other for wet performance.

  3. I’m a CBX 54/58 player. Absolutely love those clubs. The CBX Zipcore was one of the best performing wedges for spin retention in wet conditions in a MyGolfSpy test as well.

  4. Never got why when you play cavity back clubs you had to hit blade wedges, bought cbx and never looked back. Highly recommend…

  5. Would you consider reviewing their putters?? The new hb milled ones look amazing but got very little coverage

  6. Cbx2 wedges really transformed my game. Didn’t realize how punishing Forged bladed wedges were until I saw the results on the course.
The bane of testing clubs indoors is the forgiveness of the artificial turf. Obviously not an issue with drivers but anything that requires turf interaction can alter results and mask swing faults as well lol

  7. Mid-handicap here and love my TM MG3 wedges. Seriously thinking my next set of irons I might go blade/CB in my 9 and PW as I do like to vary things around the green and dont mind losing a little bit of forgiveness with the higher loft.

  8. At 50°/52° it wouldn't worry me, at 54° or more I want versatility not forgiveness as I only ever hit partials with them

  9. I play off 14, and play cbx2 wedges, in 48,54, and 60. They are a fantastic product, the majority of amateur golfers should be using these. Amazes me how many guys you see with mega forgiving game improvement irons/Woods, and then have a set of vokeys in the bag!

  10. Great video guys! Been waiting for this comparison video for a while! Is the hydro coating only on RTX6? If your fitter is not willing to go down with the brush and squirt while you’re hitting, are they even a fitter? 😂😂😂😂

  11. funny that this is an idea this year I went from a rtx zipcore 505458 an opted to put the cbx zip in the gap wedge last year with the release an never looked back. best choice in my wedge department I've made in ages

  12. I love it!!! would love to see this "wet wedge" test from now onwards for all wedge testing!!

  13. play cbx zipcore 50 & 54, cant wait for my rtx6 lob to come in!

  14. Ian sounds like he might have caught at the PGA show the same cold Tony Covey at Mygolfspy mentioned in his story.

  15. 3 hdcp here and the CBXs have been in the bag for over 5 yrs…and they keep getting better. The true gem is the 60*, which is like cheating it’s so good

  16. I hate when people say the "vast majority of amateur golfers" should play this or that. We should play what we like to play, and what we like to look at. I played chunky game improvement irons for 20 years and only shot below 80 one time. I switched to callaway apex pro 19 irons and a set of vokey sm8 wedges. In less than 2 years I went from an 18 handicap to now carrying a 10 handicap! I don't care what anyone says, playing all these "game improvement clubs" can limit your ability to get better. Drawing, fading, flighting the ball up and down are all an important part of the game and using a lot of these chunkier clubs makes it very hard to gain these skills. Just my opinion and my experience.

  17. When will we get a test on how long the hydrophobic lasts? Mine stoped beading water with only a few games

  18. Great test. I am in the market for new wedges and ever since you tested the wedges with the "wet test" I have made it a condition of purchase that they have to perform well in both dry and the wet. I really hope you consider making this a standard part of your wedge testing and I have to admit a little curiosity on how a regular iron performs in the wet as well.

  19. Had the Kirkland wedge set and had a big gap between my pitching wedge and gap so I replaced the 52* gap wedge last year with a 50* cbx zipcore. Couldn’t be happier.

  20. Another awesome video boys. , can the software simulate wet landing conditions? Is our perception that wet wedge shots don’t spin more down to how they grip when they land on wet grass?

  21. The next person using the fitting bay will look down at the floor and think the person before them was either over excited or very nervous

  22. Very impressed by the results in these. I had a rtx4 and it was a great wedge using mg3 atm but will look at these when I'm next looking at wedges

  23. This is cool. Can you try spraying something like Rain-X on the face of a Vokey wedge and see if you can get similar results

  24. Love my Glide 3.0 52°. Love the extra protection compared to a blade, and the wet weather performance. Compared to the CBX, I think the Ping hides its tech, making me feel less of a hacker!

  25. The cbx2 full face is the most balanced lob wedge I’ve ever used. It’s a pleasure to use it around the green and for every partial shot. But I loose it a bit on full shots: on those I prefer the rtx.

  26. I play Cleveland wedges and have for awhile however I tried the cavity back last year and it lasted about 4 rounds and traded it at a golf shop I didn’t like the feel and it seemed there was too much bounce in the one I tried but still playing an RTX 3 and RTX4

  27. Saw these in hand today, shaping is amazing… love the more square look at address. Might be getting back to Cleveland after a stint with Vokey!

  28. @12:15 Ian: "do they even care?" Sadly, probably not. But I'm guessing the 'wet wedge' test will be a new feature of wedge fitting at TXG now 😋

  29. When I make my millions I’d like to come and be an intern at TXG. Hell, I’ll bring a garden hose and drench the whole area.

    I also have a hairdryer…

  30. I absolutely love my cbx2 wedge and have found such ease with it and have seen so many people struggle with traditional wedges that should try them.

  31. High handicapper, started playing a CBX2 50 degree and smartsole 56, best wedges and set up i have used since picking up the game

  32. I love Cleveland wedges. I’ve tried to get on the Vokey wedge band wagon every time I go to get new wedges, but always wind up back in Cleveland…still miss my 588s…that said, why doesn’t Cleveland (or Vokey), make a full set of irons with that iron head? With my latest set of irons (JPX 923), I have 4 Cleveland wedges now (46, 52,56, and 60) and I love them…why don’t they just make a full set?

  33. I’m going to my fitter next week and will bring the spray bottle to see if he’ll get down there for me…LOL! That was awesome…”are they even a fitter?” In the running for quote of the year!! You guys are awesome! I will definitely look at the CBX next time I need wedges…but love my RTX…why didn’t you spray the RTX to test it?
