  1. Great video as usual Simon. Ive noticed the same thing a previous poster noticed. Some of these YT PRO's ALMOST ALWAYS give every club they talk about RAVING REVIEWS. I kinda feel like theyre doing this to gain clicks, and to promote certain brands hoping for sponsorships.
Once again, in my opinion, YOU are the only one not pining to the market, which leads me to believe your are more honest. One of the biggest reasons people stay away from this game is MONEY. TOO MUCH OF IT AT EVERY TURN. Too much for clubs, green fees, fittings, accessories, balls, hell, even a freakin glove is costing upwards of 20 dollars or more, and theyve MADE PEOPLE BELIEVE you cant swing a club without one.
Love your videos and your presentation, especially your desire to tell folks this game doesnt have to cost so much.
Would like you discuss shaft differences versus swing speeds, and grip differences. Thanks again and keep up the GREAT WORK.
    LOVE YOUR NEW PLACE TOO!!!!

  2. Awesome, you look very happy in the new golf cave. Top Simon, keep enjoying yourself, it comes through. J

  3. Marketing is such a factor. Great video. I still swing a 5 – 6 year old driver. It doesn’t matter. What does are lessons.

  4. Always learn something from your content Simon and really appreciate your honesty. Quite a few of the YouTube reviewers regardless of their swing speed or skill level always seem to find the latest "Tour" version drivers the best fit. There are quite a few actual Tour players carrying older models and more forgiving models but not many reviewers on YouTube, especially those with nowhere near your swing speed or ability.

  5. I just got last year's miZuno ST-Z 220 for $125 off eBay. It's used but looks practically brand new.
Granted I got a really good deal on it but those deals can be found if you look and be patient

  6. Could you try to make the sound of the impact a bit quieter? With headphones on it was pretty loud…

Love your content and your dream👌

  7. Excellent video, thanks a lot Simon. A dose of realism that's sorely lacking in many other "reviews"!

  8. Hi can I ask I always use stiff flex in drivers as I think it's more stable. But I see you swinging reg flex and your fast, I'm 52 years old and 6ft 2 and not a fast swing player any more, about 85 mph, but I seem to lag the shaft as I'm tall, which puts me off the regular flex thinking they are to whippy. Your advice stick with stiff or would regular be better for me and I'm getting my thoughts wrong about regular?

  9. Is it only me that loves a satisfying crack when the ball comes off the middle…… louder the better. Great video as always Simon, I’m thinking I should start a driver collection👍🏻

  10. Just my personal opinion but I don’t think you need all of the graphics…Maybe a few here and there but, again just my opinion, your videos have content that’s worth watching! 🎉

  11. Well done! I have felt for a long time that when push comes to shove in reality, most drivers are so close in performance that it comes down to what the person buying feels is best for him/her. Most fitters try to sway the buyer to a particular manufacturer that they are close to. I feel one has to pay minimal attention to all club tests that usually come out by the time of the PGA show in Orlando, FL. I am coming to believe that you are probably the most unbiased vloger I have seen. Love the show and keep up the good work.

  12. Nice to see content from the finished studio Simon! Hopefully will make it down when I get time as its a 5 hour round trip 🤣

  13. Not much difference in my G400 max to my G425 max driver but it feels better to me which gives me more confidence.

  14. How long do these new driving nats/screens last before a hole appears? Is it constructed from Dyneema? Or PE as it's known in Science labels. The Japanese have another name for it.

  15. I think the price of a new driver is way too much.
Found a Cobra speedzone 9 degree with hzrdus yellow shaft for £100. I don't think it's ever been used.

  16. I picked up both a Cobra RadSpeed and an LTDx LS for bargain compared to their new pricing. And they were both brand new too.

Both clubs are actually awesome to hit, and I had my first 110+mph swing with one of them.

I also own a TSR3, and it's got.a little something more about it, but for the price of both Cobras combined, it should have shouldn't it?

  17. Thanks Simon for the honest content, not much of that anymore on YouTube. BTW the studio looks great.

  18. Love the simple explanation of smash factor , makes so much sense that all clubs go a similar distance. Can't wait to try some out at your new place of work.

  19. I see some drivers are now 45.75 inch shaft. Just so they can say it goes further than last year. The cynic in me thinks they do this so they can win the "Youtube Club Testers Longest Driver" award and sell more product. Sadly a 22 handicap is the last person you should be giving a longer shaft to……..

  20. Best video I've seen about drivers in years. Commonsense Vs Marketing. 👍

  21. I am amazed how many people pay 500 for the latest driver when you can get ex demo of last years model for 200 that is basically the same. Then again, without people splurging on the new stuff, there wouldn’t be the 200 quidders!!

  22. A breath of fresh air mate. It's exhausting seeing all the marketing as well as supposedly impartial videos trying to convince us the latest gear is materially better than earlier models

  23. Hope you push on to 100k. Your channel is one of the better ones 👍🏻( some unfortunately are getting right on my t1ts)

  24. Still hitting 💣 with my 12 year old Taylormade Superfast 2.0… it's finds the fairway… new Drivers are longer but not fairway finders for me.. $500 plus for a new Driver for 20 yards of distance… that's a Hard No

  25. Great video and the studio looks fantastic but like someone said previously it really comes down what ticks your box visually and then a little bit of tweaking 🤷🏻‍♂️ btw sound does make a huge difference 😅

  26. Studio is looking awesome! I wish I lived over there to get a fitting by you. Shiels did a video with the Stacked golf couple, you need to come over here and collaborate with them, it's a perfect fit! And while you're over here, you can do a little second hand fitting too.

  27. a lot of this is so true, i know they are not getting any longer (out of the middle) but i do believe they are improving out of the heal and toe. Take the epic for example it went miles but not alway in the direction you wanted

  28. I fully agree with what you say in the video. I changed to a Cleveland XL Launcher Lite last year. This is a great performing driver. I'm a 66 year old 8 handicapper. It is a really stable forgiving driver that never gets mentioned.

  29. Could you go over different driver shapes? Currently looking for a cheap used driver with a stiff shaft. Due to shipping, it doesn't make sense to drop that much on a used driver. Currrently looking at the Taylormade r9 460 and Burner 2009. Both drivers have a triangular shape rather than pair/traditionally shaped. What other older (10+ years) drivers have this traingle shape?

  30. The bigger channels are getting ridiculous in their promotion of the latest equipment. I won't mention names but one of them claimed a 9 yard advantage from the Paradym over the Rogue ST, which of course is impossible.

Larger channels are now nothing more than salesmen for club manufacturers.

Looking forward to seeing more of this type of video, enjoyed it. You can't "buy" a good golf game.
