The Cole Haan line of golf shoes is impressive in actuality from a performance and style standpoint. However, their methods of distributions, and price cuts are interesting to say the least. A shoes can list for $150, and within a short period of time can be marked down to $109, the $70 within the span of a few weeks. To be sure, the golf shoe segment is likely s small part of their portfolio, but I can imagine that sponsoring the right pro-golfer while cross-promoting their golf shoes with their lifestyle shoes could be a big win for the company.
