NEW Srixon ZX MKII Drivers Review // ZX5, ZX7 & ZX5LS

We review the brand new line of drivers from Srixon, including updates to last year’s ZX5 and ZX7 models. We also test the new addition to the line, the ZX5LS, to see how it compares to other low spin models on the market.

  1. Ian I’d love to see the Red TR ventus in that LS head to try and get 16 ish launch that thing will be an animal

  2. You guys are the absolute best by far. How would you compare the standard ZX5 to the G430 for a moderate swing speed player? Do you think it measures up from a stability/ball speed standpoint on off center strikes? Keep up the great work!

  3. Surprised Ian didn’t try the Blue or Red TR mixed with this head. Especially after he say crazy low numbers with the TR black..

  4. Looks like a solid group of offerings.
The Wilson DynaPower drivers look like they stack up well too. Seem to look a lot like the Wilson Labs prototype that Gary Woodland was hitting not too long ago. May be worth a look.
    Cheers.

  5. Just put the ZX5 MKII LS in the bag this past weekend and it's amazingly accurate and packs a ton of forgiveness off-center. I only missed 2 fairways all day and those were just barely off the fairway, so not penalizing at all. Coming from a Stealth driver it definitely has a very different sound. I typically hit a draw with all of my clubs and my miss with the driver is to peel it too far left with very low spin. In the stock setting I've found the ZX5 LS to be subtly fade biased but the launch and spin were spot on. I was hitting easy controlled baby fades all day on the course with insane predictability. Time will tell but if I can take out the left side of the fairway then this driver is going to be a weapon. Initially I don't know if the dead center strikes are as long as the Stealth (it's winter golf so hard to judge) but I'll take a couple less yards for significant accuracy and control improvements every single day.

  6. Should have had a 9.5 head in the LS. I'd love to see Ian do another video with that] loft.

  7. Surprising to see Ian using the Black TR vs Blue TR or Red TR. I bet the winner would be Red TR with the ZX5 LS.

  8. Great video, but would like to have seen you lower the loft on the zx7 to get the launch down to see how it impacts spin and distance.

  9. Another series of drivers that do not hold a candle to last year’s TSR3. That’s my gamer. None of the models from this year’s offerings would drive me to change over. 🙌🙌🙌🙌

  10. Whats next?!?! 3D printed Drivers. Cobra started to introduce the lattice to putters. All Drivers are CAD/CAM but none with a completely 3D printed light head. Maybe SRIXON will push it.

  11. I noticed that nearly every swing had the toe of the driver higher than the heel. While lie angle doesn't matter very much for a driver, do you think that golf companies haven't remembered to change the lie angle of their drivers as shafts have gotten longer?

  12. I would love to see Ian and Mike hit all 3 drivers each (or tables only), just to see how they really vary per player.
