After two weeks in Hawaii, the PGA TOUR heads back to the mainland this week for The American Express, which once again will be played across three golf courses: La Quinta CC, The Nicklaus Tournament Course and the Stadium Course at PGA West. Ten of the top 20 players in the world will be teeing it up in the Coachella Valley this week, including 2022 Player of the Year and current World No. 2 Scottie Scheffler, alongside 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions winner Jon Rahm, who won The American Express in 2018, finishing two shots clear of second-place Collin Morikawa. Xander Schauffele is expected to make a welcome return to action after withdrawing from the Sentry Tournament of Champions, playing just eight holes of his second round due to a back injury. Other notable names to look out for include 2021 tournament winner Si Woo Kim, who is playing after a superb victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii last week and World No. 5 Patrick Cantlay, who has finished inside the top 10 in his last two appearances at The American Express, including a runner-up finish in 2021.

  1. What he is achieving is this tight field is far more of an achievement than Tiger back in the day.

  2. JR is the real deal, and he keeps the media and announcers on their toes. Keep it up John!

  3. Wow. Davis thompson leads for 4 days and i didnt see him once….

Pga tour players have a point….

  4. Its the Good Good magic. Many Pros have gone on to win after appearing on there channel.

  5. So much praise about his ball striking from tee to green, for good reason, but IMO his short game outweighs his ball striking. Just seems to always get up and down/make putts when they matter most.

  6. John is definitely best current player not whingy whiny McElroy.Hes got more bottle grit and desire to win than anyone else

  7. In every other sport "highlights" are significant moments of what happened. Since forever, golf highlights are only things that look pretty and went well and tell nothing of the story.

How do you not show his bogey? It made his performance more impressive.
