ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Oh Danny … you always make it sound so easy. Golf is so challenging but so enjoyable, even if you are a high handicapper and a sociable player. There has to be joy otherwise it’s a non starter. I have a Danny practice plan for 2023. Holding thumbs it’s going to pay off

  2. Thinking about my game during the week. I came to the conclusion that forearms were my issue at set up. Weird how you mentioned it in todays video. Going down a couple of hours early today to see if it helps. Great video again 👍

  3. Great video Danny, still trying to transition my hips before I turn. I know it's all in the timing. I thought it would give me a hook but I slice horrendously!

  4. Love it Danny.. can see a few setup issues I have which I’ll try on Sunday.. probably a disaster round but no pain no gain…

  5. great video danny, but you missed one thing, i noticed when you shif your body around to the right to shift the circle, your feet stayed still, you did not shift your feet, many people may miss this and start shuffling thier feet round as well, resulting in a straight riht shot or an even wider slice, im not criticising you in any way, but i thought it would be something you should point out. regards james.

  6. This is spot on for me. Pro said exactly this to me in passing at the range yesterday. ‘the position of the right shoulder at address is guaranteeing straight left and a bit long as you are delofting ‘ And yes I miss greens left and aiming straight feels like I am aiming way right. Great lesson, superb graphics. Thanks.

  7. Cheers DM. I always get lazy with the shoulders…. as the round goes in, I feel they're in a stronger position, when in fact, my dominant right side is just creeping forward into the slice position….

  8. Hello Danny, It is three o'clock in the morning here in Indiana. You are the best golf pro @ teaching in the U.K. in my opinion because you teach instead of yell. I have 17 acres @ home & I hit golf balls 20 minutes ago But I still can't hit a draw but you made this video today just for me. I am going to hit some balls when I wake up and I put it in my head this video and I am GOING to hit some draws. I really like how you teach & you made me a better golfer this year. I am 64 & my handi went from 19 to 13 this year & my lowest score was an 81. I am rambling but after todays lesson I am going to get into the seventies this year. Thanks Danny, you are the best. much respect from across the water.

  9. Been following you for a couple of years and, you have improved my golf and I see you as a successful and inspiring coach. In today's video, you have succeeded with nice and easy-to-understand images. Thanks so much. 1:38

  10. You're a great teacher Danny and I enjoyed my in person lesson just before Covid. Your circle teaching assumes the centre of the circle is fixed in height from the ground. I think I move up and down slightly so even if my low point is after the ball I can still hit behind the ball. How can I keep the Centre at a fixed height?

  11. Great concept Danny especially with the visual circles added on the video. Question please; I struggle with the concept of where my shoulders are aiming. I pull the ball left sometimes and think it may just be where I am aligned. Is this a common human fault where alignment of the shoulders is to the left in set up?

  12. Morning Danny. Another excellent video. Can't wait to get up the range, but unfortunately it is closed now due to weather…

  13. Hi Dany, this makes sensé because i havé been, putting this in practice. Thé set up is so important ,And. to take time to understand. Putting thé ball, back in the stance helps to get rid of thé slice. And finding thé right path .i am now, starting littles draws .just like your dad. Always a plesure to watch your vidéos it all makes sensé. Havé à Great Dany Dany…..

  14. As an IT Support engineer I couldn't help but laugh when the Windows Update message came up on the screen! Good coaching video though!

  15. Hi Danny, very good. I've been working on low point for many months and this has really helped cement my thoughts. Can I assume that a 5 wood off the deck would be nearer the low point. I seem to be seeing improvements with this position. Played yesterday and my ball striking was much better. The ground was frozen, so made for an interesting 9 holes but the low point concept is certainly the way to go. Many thanks.

  16. It’s like you’ve been watching me play without ever seeing me play before. I even crank the wrist on the back swing to ensure the club comes down straight. Makes so much sense on how to correct it too with the exaggerated changes. Simple but so effective. Thanks Danny

  17. Another brilliant video Danny. Can't wait for the weather to get a bit warmer and my back tweak to get better then can attack my swing again. Everything you describe is so succinct- talking as an ex PE teacher. Absolutely brilliant!

  18. If I had this video 5 years ago, I would have saved years of struggle… Little did I know my setup encouraged the ball to start left, leading to all sorts of manipulations. These changes and Pete Cowen's chipping lesson dropped me 15 shots (100 to 85) in my first round after some practice sessions at the range last year. Quality content Danny!

  19. Hi Danny a quick question, is the clubface always square at address, even when the shoulders , hips , knees are pointing slightly right. So if you move the ball more forward or back is it still facing straight down the middle.

  20. Used this after watching your lesson with your Dad. Started being able to hit a draw and the improvement in strike was massive. Thanks Danny 😊

  21. Great explanation and video. Should think this will be tried by almost all of your subscribers.

  22. HiDanny, when you advise closing hips and shoulders do you keep the club face aiming at the target or aim club right also?

  23. Good follow up on previous video where I was uncertain what to do to dial back the exaggerated technique, IE move the ball slowly back to more central. Makes sense now. Time to put on the warm clothes and visit the range 🙂
