  1. Stellar stuff Rick. I actually applied a couple the setup things in a round today and the putting was miles better and I felt more confident.

  2. Awesome video Rick. Big fan of Brad Faxon and Bob Rotella.
Thank you and thanks to Brad Faxon for being open to sharing valuable and simple information. Brilliant.

  3. Brad's depth of knowledge is insane. I love that he is able to communicate both the technical and intuitive sides of putting so well. You can also tell he is a golf nerd and loves this game. His media training/expt as a golf analyst also shines through is his ability to communicate with both Rick and the audience.

  4. I’ll get hammered for this I’m sure but my problem with building a pre shot routine is ideally I would like to look at the putt at three angles, stand behind it and picture the line, get up to it take three practice strokes and then hit. But with the constant pressure at US clubs with pace of play, I can’t really do that

  5. Probably the most important 40 minutes of video you’ve ever produced. This will be on my replay list forever. Thanks Rick and thanks Brad!

  6. Golf really is a mental game once you have your skill set down. Sometimes you get in the zone and it all clicks, getting there is between the ears, for me anyhow. Calm your mind and visualize the shot before you hit it.

  7. An outstanding lesson from one of the greatest putters ever. The one thing that bums me out right now is that I won't be on a practice putting green until April at the earliest. However, I have saved this video in my Golf Videos folder in the saved videos section of my YouTube channel. I will be reviewing this over and over again every chance I get, and taking notes as well.

  8. I have watch most of Rick’s videos and I never thought once that putting was the worst part of his game. By far it is pitching and chipping. My opinion: he drives like a +3, putts like a 2 and pitches and chips like a 20.

  9. I love my Odyssey No. 7 putter. It's 12 years old. Think I'll keep it as long as Brad's Scotty Cameron 🙂

  10. The bit where Brad discusses how he likes to get to the practice green and hit to the farthest hole made me smile. Before every round, I drop three balls at one end of the practice green and just putt them toward the far end. Exactly as Brad stated, it's about finding your swing for the day and for me, it's a good way to measure the pace of the greens without getting all caught up in reads and trying to hole practice putts.

  11. That was an invaluable lesson from one of the best putters of all time. The amazing thing was how much we can all take from that even though we weren’t the ones receiving the lesson. I would also say that without even realising it I was amazed how much of that I am already doing exactly like what Brad says. Putting is the best part of my game by far and maybe this is why. So it was good to hear so much fantastic tips from Brad and that he was so willing to share this with everyone.
I could also instantly see the improvement in Rick’s putting stroke once he relaxed and followed what Brad was telling him. He definitely thinks way too much while he putts and you can see it all going through his head and he talks himself out of the putt before he even hits it. I hope to see the improvement now if he can follow what Brad told him.
Thanks for filming this for us all Rick, it was amazing.

  12. Amazing. So informative. The freedom of your putting stroke start to middle of the session was noticeable. I focus on the intended line 1ft passed the hole with practice strokes and then a spot closer to intended start line. I often do look at the hole. Noticeable improvements over previous year putts per round. Less three putts. The part about downhill uphill and the difference in stimp pace was insightful. I was definitely on the 10 scale for downhill. I do put my downhills too far past the flag. This years focus. The make more uphill and watch for chip shot landing outcomes was a good pointer.

  13. What an incredible insight in to this part of the game, thanks to Rick and the team for bringing us this content

  14. OMG… After nearly 50 years playing off 5 handicap and below this is truly the most informative video or lesson I have seen/heard. Thanks Rick for making yourself vulnerable, and goodness how to thank Brad!

  15. THAT
    WAS
    PHENOMENAL

Thanks for sharing this. Brad Faxon is as clever as a man with 3 heads. How can you not learn something from it??? Brilliant.

  16. I watched a golfer at my club place a tee on the putting surface with the goal of hitting the tee from various distance ranges. It makes sense that if you can hit that then a golf hole will be a breeze.
