Kirkland Signature Performance + Golf Ball Review (2023)

This has been requested for a while now, and I am excited to finally bring it to the channel! I review the Costco golf ball, the Kirkland Signature Performance + ball! The price is insanely cheap, so how is it possible that the numbers can turn up good? Let’s find out!

  1. smoke this ball with my driver great height for me….interesting…. my favorite ball though is the VICE PRO SOFT and the TITLEIST AVX….and also like the SRIXON Q STAR DIVIDE ORANGE…..cheers

  2. I play these once in a while. I’ve found so many on the course that I keep it in my bag as a throw away ball, but I play it well enough that I don’t mind teeing off with it. Driver performance for me is fair but when it comes to the irons this thing shines for me. Very high spinning and launching which is great for me in the summer time because I need stopping power on the greens. If I could drive it better I would play it more often. Iron play is comparable to the Vice Pro Soft for me but since I’m much better with the Vice off the tee I stick with it.

  3. I'm glad to finally have your insight into the ball. I'm also surprised to see how well it did on everything but the driver. I have experienced it not going as far off the tee as pretty much anything else, but then I'm not a very good golfer, so it doesn't amount to much. But now it makes sense why it goes further than I anticipate with any other club. However, I'm glad it's short on the green because I have been known to burn across any green.

Also, as much as I'd like to see something different from the logo, I really enjoy the brazen attitude Costco has had with their golf equipment. It's like an underdog that's proud of where it comes from and it can, in its own right, compete with the upper class enough that people can't help but be impressed.

  4. I recently retired and I live in Florida so I took up golf. I only broke 100 one time and I do tend to lose balls. I started to buy these balls because I don’t feel as bad when I lose one like I did when I lost my favorite ball the Titlelist Soft Tour. I have a ball line marker so I make my Kirkland balls look a little nicer. “Greens and Fairways my friends!”

  5. If the alignment looks that bad get a sharpy and draw your own. Good ball for the cost and a sharpy costs one dollar. Keep it simple.

  6. Each yearly iteration of this ball, they do not change their markings. If you find one on the course and play it you don’t know how old it is. They are spinny, not as long as the Pro V’s, but you can’t beat the price! Good review, thanks!

  7. Costco here in New Hampshire have them for $24.99 for 2 dozen ( $12.50 per dozen) If they put some marketing behind them like change the name, font, color(s) ) They could be the #1 ball in Golf..especially at a $1 a ball !
That being said, I don’t know why they don’t want to be more successful 😅😢😮

  8. Thanks for the review. I really enjoy your channel and your reviews help me with my ball selection. Excellent job!!

  9. So since I was one of those who requested this review, (and TY for listening to your subscribers!) I did pick up 24 and took them on a golf junket last week. First: Spot on with the spin factor assessment. I was sucking gap wedges back 10-15 feet which is such a cool look but I had to adjust to it when figuring my distances The one hop and drop shot was deadly and looked PGA quality! (I'm no pro believe me) Second: Absolutely lost distance on every club including my 46 PW … Gap, 56 & 60 seemed unaffected. 10 yards off my normal driver distance was really disappointing. After two days of Kirkland testing I switched back to my Sugar ball (my go-to) and while spin was lower my yardage was back. Third: I did however see a very real durability issue. Shots from the sand and tee shots with my 3 & 4 Cobra Utilities left visible marks on the ball and after 5-6 holes (if no losses) I was deeming them unplayable. Surprised you did not see that and wonder if other subs may have experienced this issue. A buck a ball is crazy cheap though but for $2.50 per I'll stick with my Sugars. Anxious to hear other opinions

  10. My current gamers (Because I got good deals on them) are the TP5 and Maxfli Tour (2021). I always have one or two double dozens of the Ksig V2 in my "stash" (I have a golf ball buying problem). I'm a 14 hcp with a driver SS of 92-96 depending on how my 56 yr. old knees feel that day. For some reason I get the ball lofted nicely off the driver and get about 220-235 carry on it. with average being 220-225. I do feel that I do lose just a little distance but I really like the way the ball plays. I live on Long Island, NY and play on a lot of golf courses around the coast with a lot of water and marshy hazards. On days when I don't have my best stuff I game the Kirkland. At Bethpage where there are a lot of woods to lose balls, and being longer, if I'm losing balls I game the Kirkland and don't see any real differences in score. I've been playing different balls from round to round for so many years it's just 2nd nature to make club adjustments to the ball.

  11. I started using these from Costco in the UK during the summer. Can't complain at all, feel really nice on the greens too, and at this price point I won't be changing anytime soon
