  1. Tech is nice but I really enjoy the honest indoor/outdoor reviews. It's like reading the box on balls. All saying similar things.

  2. Just a name, is it any more ridiculous than Big Bertha who sounds like a Northern Opera singer. Don't really care about the tech either, forgiveness, flight, distance, cost all by comparison to others. If I'm down the Bentley showroom I'm not interested the material the crank shaft is made from.

  3. Late 80’s, early 90’s, many management training manuals were filled with all this hype around the key to success was for the company to go through a “paradigm shift”. The term was overused so much that it got to the point that when you heard it you wanted to gag…lol Needless to say, new name doesn’t do it for me…🤢🤮

  4. Really is more gimmicky garbage imo.
What are the gains in real terms for your average golfer… not very much I presume.
Also the spelling is a put off.

  5. These irons purely exist to be part of hire club sets and for golfers who must have a full set of the same named clubs. I can’t remember the last time I seen anyone buy these kinds of sets as a brand new set

  6. Agree with others on the name. It is something slapped on by marketing dpt. It is great big Bertha v5 or whatever.

  7. I get that the name is slightly different but I feel like if it was taylormade it wouldn't be as questioned, so after the stealth 2 they will probably change again and hypothetically if it was the taylormade paradym I don't think it's made as much of a deal

  8. Top line is a bit too thick for me, but being a hollow bodied iron, there is a limit to how thin they can be. Subject to that one caveat, those are nice looking irons. But it is a while since anyone produced ugly irons (TM MCGB being the last ones I can remember).

The lofts are strong but by no means the strongest currently on the market. The spin is a little low but broadly what you would expect for the loft.

Not really convinced that it is a paradigm shift for irons

  9. Imagine unregulated club break away league. Be so much innovation in clubs and then their would actually be a reason to buy new ones! Also I’d love to see what Bryson would come up with!

  10. $1700+ US..?? I'm not broke, do quite well but I'm frugal. Are these golf companies going crazy? Maybe I'm just getting old. I can't see getting $1700+ worth improvement over models from 2-3 yrs ago.

  11. Got to lose the gimmicky blue paint in the back, smaller lettering, and of course any nods to "forged". Truth be told I liked the looks of their Rouge pro st last year,, everything but the big badge. As far as the name goes…X and something else,, the time Callaway made those Prototype tour authentic blades, whether the irons were worth 1800 dollars or not twelve years ago, the name absolutely stuck in my mind. Now that was a solid name.

  12. Dear Mr Muppet! I just recall a video from some years ago where you talked about the Ping Eye 2 as the IPhone of golf clubs. That club, at least through your description of it, could have been wearing the name Paradigm (or Paradym) with the club head held high. By the way, I bought a set of Eye 2 + based on that video. Cheers!

  13. They look sooo Callaway. I thought the same as you Mark. Looked just like my old X16 set. Which were brilliant and responsible for me to getting to mid single digit handicaps

  14. 29 degree 7 iron, 184 yards…5000 spin…its a 1999 Ben Hogan 5 iron with an inch shorter shaft

  15. Forged blades last till you wear them out. I wonder if stuff like microspheres, speedfoam etc. ages? That is, deteriorates overtime or due to heat and cold.

  16. Never been a fan of Callaway. I think I'll stick with my Mizunos. Especially after seeing the cost of these irons.

  17. Mark, are you going to look at the new Callaway GBB irons with the ginormous price tag? Interested in how those compare to these new Callaways.

  18. Hippo tour….. Terry tibbs tour more like….. Crossfield wearing yellow lens glasses…. That's a paradym.
Game improvement irons…. Talk to me.

  19. Tech talk. Only thing I would like to know when it comes to irons is what the loft is compared to "traditional loft".

  20. I personally, don't really care what each company has to say about the tech because it all just sounds the same (and has done for years).

Don't get me wrong I appreciate the work that goes in from an R&D standpoint however, I know all clubs from top manufacturers are of high quality. Its ALL about looks, feel and of course….price.

  21. Look like my Steelhead XR with a different back! Great Irons TCB are on order now started with X12 Back in the day!

  22. I love my Apex 21 Irons in satin finish. I am sure that the chrome finish on the new irons are a complete scratch magnet. I don’t want my irons looking like they are 5 years old after one season.

  23. They do look good. Mark, can you do some more course vlogs with Coach, Rory etc. They are such a good watch

  24. Like to see a comparison to the P790s and maybe the Forged Tech irons. Maybe other forged face irons that are out there. These are interesting for sure.

  25. Your title is correct about the "HYPE." Every year is the same. All companies pay the YouTubers and throw a parade for the latest product. I am not criticizing because companies need to sell their product. I understand. But seldom is there a change in the performance numbers that make any real difference. It does make for a good reason for another video though. Keep up the good work Mark. I like your instructional shorts.👍

  26. As far as describing tech goes for me an exploded graphic works best 👍🏼

  27. I think you've really misunderstood the meaning of the word paradigm haha. Maybe you're thinking of when people say a paradigm shift or something. Cause the name being paradigm should correlate to it being the usual, cause that's what paradigm means.

  28. There is so much hype and pushing of these clubs you don't know who is getting money and who isn't 🙂

  29. I appreciate your content always. You asked about tech details in your content, I for one do appreciate those details. For me it helps explain the performance to some degree of the clubs.

  30. Back of the clubs not great need to be more classic metal. I expect they are like all power lofted clubs …which are good IMO as I game T400’s and love the power/distance. The key is what shafts you get with them , I am sure i picked the T400’s and the Cobra Ltdx when i tried all the 2022 GI Irons because i got on better with their stock shafts. Had hot metals before and should have liked the new ones but didn’t probably because the shafts didn’t work for me.

  31. Mark, the only question I have for you is, why did I see a Callaway ball with your face on it? 👀 notice srixon didn’t share your insta story too. Is someone on the move?

  32. Love the performance, the looks fall short for me. It is too shiny of a club down at the ball.
