  1. Very educational. For example, I did not realize that there were distinct golf swing "patterns." Interesting to have this explained while comparing/contrasting Ian and Matt's lessons/goals/objectives. Love that this channel is always a new source of learning. This is well beyond the litany of tips/tricks found in other places. Really helps me appreciate what good golf coaches know and how they manage to communicate these concepts to students. Can't wait to see more.

  2. I am Left handed and at the top of my backswing I noticed my right wrist is always bowed. Unlike most really good players. However, when I point my left elbow crease to the sky it seems to flatten out my right wrist in the backswing. Is this correct?

  3. I asked this on Ian's lesson video, but nobody responded. If you aren't one of those people that tends to go inside on back swing then over the top on through swing or vice-versa, then why not go straight to the seatbelt pulling position….then straight out of the seatbelt pulling position? What would be wrong with that?

  4. This is AWESOME! Thanks so much for putting this up on the channel. I’d love a chance to work with Scott and look forward to more videos. Thx!

  5. Can’t wait to see who next year’s instructor will be. Given up on Larry, Tyler, Gareth, Martin. As mentioned already used Scott before so I give this 6 months.

  6. The back swing is too inside thus the pull misses. Like what the others are saying here, too much micromanagement of the swing.

  7. Hi, a very good lesson. Thank you very much! Maybe you/someone here below, could give me som help/advice. I'm right handed and every pro I've met said that I should swing the club from the right – due to a stronger trail arm/hand. When playing tennis I hit a double back hand. I also bat from the left when playing baseball, which is my "natural side". I can play golf from both right and left – my right driver is (more) inconsistent though… Which swing journey do you think would be the best for me?

  8. I've actually tried this pattern before and it was amazing for iron and wedge play but it didn't feel powerful because you can't take the trail arm too far away from the ribs. I couldn't bring it to my driver due to that.

  9. I'm sitting here wishing I had either Ian's or Matt's "original" swings!! Great stuff boys.

  10. Love the series! My irons are the worst part of my game and my goal is to change that. My swing is hybrid of both your swings so this is a huge help to understand the iron swing. Couldn’t have come at a better time. My dad has a simulator and now I have some understanding of the iron swing and I can work on becoming a better iron player! Cheers fellas!

  11. This swing proves why keeping your eye on the ball isn't the answer for a topped shot. It is actually not turning your face through it and keeping the right bend. You aren't really even looking at the golf ball when you make contact.

  12. Matt's change he's willing to undertake is massive. That level of change is almost a rebuild. And he's doing it. Impressive. He'l be a different player on the golf course by mid year. Big time.

  13. Mate I’m so far from this level. I’m 14hc this was just waaaaay too much information for me. I don’t know how on earth people can learn from this. Good looks folks 👍🏻⛳️

  14. Will reducing Matt’s width have an adverse effect on his speed (slow him down). Love the look of the compact swing but all the tv talk is about width? Thanks

  15. I like the way Scott teaches. Being technical myself, I like the detail. I really struggle with my swing path which significantly impacts my face control. More videos like these please 🙏🏽

  16. This is gold take notes you can hit it a long way and straight doing this with ease. Hidden yardage

  17. Couldn’t make it through the whole thing, way too technical for me. Larry had tips like “use this piece of cardboard under your right foot” – and a 30 second drill.

  18. This just goes to show, different strokes for different folks. I don’t jive with this approach or the jargon, but this is all stuff I am learning and working on. It is so important to find someone that can “talk” to you.

  19. He uses a lot of technical structure and language I and tones of GOLFTEC coaches use. His understanding of the body and variations is very large. Would love to pick his brain.

  20. these sessions are terrific. they scratch so much of where it itches for me. very educational and eye widening. great content. love it.

  21. Did this guy want to be in chiropractic school with the words he was using? 😂
Guys like this kept my lesson schedule packed, because students were overwhelmed with technical garbage. Wow.

  22. I’ve been working on shot shaping on my own for pleasure. I find I can control a fade well, even hit a high slice with my driver on command. But drawing has been really hard. It’s interesting because my miss is a pull, especially on fade-happy tees. I was just in my kitchen watching this, and trying the guidance of the lesson I found a feel for maybe a similar swing to the goal of the teacher. I found keeping my arms close, especially my trail arm, created a more comfortable and fluid path. I’ve always had powerful hips from dancing as a kid, and this unlocks that I feel. Also, just doing phantom swings, I felt the ability to manipulate the path in all ways in relation to shot shaping. I even tried wacky swings, and I felt in control the whole swing. I love how the golf swing feels. Now I love it even more. Let’s take it out on the course!

  23. Here’s an idea…let me add more geometry, positions, restrictions, tension, and thoughts to your preshot routine and your in-swing thoughts. I say nay-nah! Bring me LC!

  24. Work on path and then face control is an advise I’ll bring to the range, great content 👍

  25. He is a bit like Pete Lockett. A bit too technical. You would need to do a massive amount of practise to get this ingrained, especially under comp conditions

  26. I'm a total beginner, needed to find something to challenge me after having upper spine surgery at the age of 58. Had my first lesson 3 weeks ago and trying to implement what the pro asked me to.

I lack speed and am too steep in my backswing, feels like I need the restriction placed on Matts arm but somehow include a freedom to swing faster.

  27. Really interesting – are you guys aware of anyone in the UK That has the same ethos as Scott? Looking forward to the next one in the series
