The chess super grandmaster GMHikaru has also adopted the who cares? motto to allow him to play normally in critical chess competitions especially against the world champion. Golf is a mental game at the pro level. If you could play like you do at your home course with friends during the tour events then you will be more competitive.
Hey Gen… I do bring out a center shafted putter once in a while to change things up… but yes i dont practice enough with it so any "important" round i will use my spider. How about a w.i.t.b for 2023? ☠☠😎⛳
Great topic and content and for me where you place the ball whether middle, a bit forward, or more in the stance. I've lost so many strokes by trying to make such and adjustment while playing a round instead of practicing with the putter prior and doing a drill and being consistent with putting time aside for such drills. Doing it during a round in my situation simply added less confidence in my stroke, and adding strokes, instead of practicing in advance. To my defense I didn't have a lot of time for practice but that's another story.

I have the Odyssey double wide OG face putter. ❤ how it feels coming off the putter face! I also get teased a lot for changing putter’s.. new putter’s give me more confidence. I pay more attention to my putts 🤷♂️ I’ve noticed over the years.. I’m only social @ and on the golf courses.. my mind always racing with so many thoughts, I don’t wanna waste time on conversation’s that are unnecessary 😂😂😂😂😂so I think you’re normal 🎉😊

Interesting new video style. I like it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I had a putter fitting lately and I cut down 5-8 strokes on putting a game. I had so many 3 putts prior. Buying equipment with a purpose to get better and fit my swing, persona, and now my age! Good luck in 2023 and keep us posted of your tournaments, we love to follow you. Can totally relate to the social awkwardness off the course, not a fan of people, but on the course I can chat up anyone. It's almost like it's part of the sport so I don't stress the interactions. Always changing putters though I can't relate to. I've had an Odyssey Backstryke Marxman for about 10 years now and I have no desire to change. FYI it is a center shaft mallet, but it's difficult to find new ones seeing as it's a 2010 model. Thx for the vid and insight.

Loving this vid n interaction. Believe being comfortable wit a putter is so crucial. I love golf as its a game I can practise n play alone if needed. Importantly have fun in practise n in competition Gen. Had so much appreciation for pro like youself who spend loads of practise on the green n green side 😇
Wow, Gen! What a coincidence about you not looking at the ball. I recently started doing the same thing.
I look 3" in front of the ball on iron and hybrid shots and 4-5" behind the ball with driver. It really helps me to swing through instead of hitting at the ball. Do you make similar adjustments?
I have an old putter and I too play the ball around the middle. If the ball creeps forward I will miss left. Sometimes on a nasty hard right to left 3 or 4 footer I will move the ball back even more. It just helps me start the ball outside the hole where I want to go.
A red face doesn't matter if it matches your ensemble/ wardrobe for the day….. 😉 lol

Well done Gen, really enjoyed that style of video. I like to practise putting but often feel a bit "daft" spending so much time on the putting green being a mid handicapper, so I'll adopt your mantra of "who cares"
