I find it hard to believe any country club would do a repair like that.I think it's more likely done by someone that was trying it for the first time.
That's a po dunk repair, someone who appears to have never done a cally fairway. Cally bonded fairways are a PITA with their .350 and collar. I think they must have a drying rack in their assembly to let them hang perfectly vertical. I have tried several of the cally specific ferrules including golfworks Jim, but they all still have some play. Copper shim, fishing line etc…all seem to get it done better. I like your adapter, may have to try that one. Thanks for sharing this 🙂
