022 Footjoy Traditions Shield Tip.
What I Think
The Footjoy traditions came from no where in 2021 and really made their mark. They have kept the shoe in the range for 2022. BUT they have introduced this amazing brogue looking shoe. First impressions are excellent, these look pure class. They are full grain leather which is a massive plus for me. They are also very light with a nice foam achilles pad for ultimate comfort.
The midsole is foam and also stitches to the main shoe, this again makes it look hard wearing and long lasting. The leather feels amazing and the look is really classy including the Footjoy eyelet and detail pattern on the side.
My only concern would be wearing them in the wet, here in the UK would the wet and dirt that get into the brogue dimples be easy to clean? Time will tell. The only other part of the shoe I am being super cirital on is the outsole. This has not changed from the 2021 traditions. Seven soft spikes on a flat sole, it doesnt look like it will grip that well.
I would love to see this shoe, but in a superlite XL spike dimple pattern.
Overall purely for the classy looks I will be wearing a pair of these in 2022.
