Snyder golf ball review

Snyder, a family run business hailing out of Germany.

Their vision…
To offer you the best golf ball in each price segment, meaning, if you decide to purchase a Snyder Golf ball for $1.69, this should give you the best available option on the market for your money.

What they say…
The SNY Soft is designed with an extra big core and an extra soft cover. This ball is engineered for a longer distance performance and a more controlled shot, while providing a super soft-touch feeling.

Myself and Big Al most often play a Soft ball, usually Ad333’s or Chrome soft, well-known brands that always deliver. Comparing them with the product info on SNY Soft they near match up exactly ( 2piece ball, soft core, Ionomer cover & aimed at mid to high handicappers.)

First impressions – they certainly look the part and their branding and packaging is very good. We had a dozen balls in white ( also available in neon yellow, orange & red ) however the range seem to only come in a matte finish 🤔 On looks alone, that doesn’t bother us, we’ve seen similar brands like Volvik really take off with their matte balls so shouldn’t be an issue right? Will this texture have any impact on the ball’s performance though?.

We did 9 holes at FFP’s Home Hollywood golf club to test these newbies out.

Tee Shots.
Were great and felt perfectly normal, but straight away we noticed something, the sound. It was very dull, like a clunk almost, could this be the is the matte finish?however this didn’t affect the quality or performance of our shots & we both found fairways most of the time 👍🏻
4/5

Iron play.
Again performed brilliantly, the ball flight was great & our usual distance and carry seemed normal, feel off the club face was awesome & ball flight was as normal. Note, The clunk sound resumed.
4/5

Approach play.
We’re both looking for good check here into the greens and both really tried to stop the ball to the best of our playing ability. Again they felt soft and great off the club head but we personally felt they didn’t check as good as our current balls.
3/5

Putting.
Our course had just held a Pro-Am the day before so greens were in fantastic condition and ideal for such a test.
Both feel and roll were as good as any ball we’ve ever played and couldn’t fault in anyway.
5/5

Conclusion.
We all have concerns about new brands & spending or wasting our hard earned wonga on an already expensive sport. But we can honestly say these ‘ soft ’ balls perform just as good as any well known brand we’ve used playing golf. And at £18 a dozen we think they’re a steal, but remember P&P could be too this over what you would pay for Usual ball in the club shop. Check them out ASAP though as they have a 20% grand opening discount available.
