How good is Scottsdale! It’s was nice to be inside when it’s -5 outside! How much sense does this make by the way?
Well done alex 🏌♂️ 🙂 👍
I like your easy to follow instructions
Bottom of the arc, always true whoever strikes the golf ball.
I like it , Alex 👍
Thanks for the many great tips just started in June working on getting my handicap down so I can surprise my son when I visit him in Melbourne o by the way I am 70 so it’s never to late to start playing golf
I tried looking target side, but I occasionally come in steep which didn't work out so good. I now look at a piece of grass (yup, small target indeed) as close to under the ball as I can. Sometimes I don't move laterally toward the target enough, and I get a bit of a duff/chunk, but mostly I focus on that one spot until the release after contact.
What about the hybrid? Focus in front or behind the ball?
Great 👍🏼
I use the foot spray powder at the range and spray s line on the mat then place my ball behind the line just as you have described I do this because I can't seem to get my divots after the ball this video makes so much sense
Excellent teaching Alex. Thank you 😊
Hey Alex. Dave from Canada. Great tip again. Awesome advice 👍
Love this videp
That 7 iron you're hitting has strong loft so it's basically 6 iron
Hi Alex, Having done this to cure hitting the ground before the ball as well as eliminating the lateral hip movement, that can also cause this. I really do believe that this works for most swing types. However, you may find that over time, you start thinning the ball as your swing adjusts. I now I have gone back to looking at the top of the ball, and the ball striking is way more consistent again. Until that changes again 😉
I see what you are saying about the driver, but if you do this will you have more pop ups?
Very interesting. It makes sense.
I will give it a try as soon as the weather gets warmer.
Understand the iron strike and have played with that with mixed results. Think I might do that for a while now to see if it helps. Understand the driver idea but haven’t ever figured out a suitable target that helps me avoid scuffing the turf. Ideas on that welcome. Now, for hybrids? Isn’t the low point essentially at the ball for those, so what is the target? The last blade of grass before the ball? The first one after?
Every hcp golfer needs to see this tip, you have look to at the front of the ball or in front of the ball to make crisp iron shots, you’ll love the results
I asked you just recently if you looked at the back of the ball or just in front………you said at the back of the ball????
Easy to understand and your tips make so much sense, thank you.
I hate showing people this drill on a mat. Most golfers will say they can hit balls at the range all day but can’t on the course, it’s because the actual grass doesn’t bounce like the mat. Looking forward of the ball is good but my saying is “ it’s not your grass” so take a divot the size of a gopher and you’ll always make contact.
Can’t wait to try those tips
