  1. One of the best golf YouTubers for instruction/simple drills, keep up the great work! The increase in speed journey you have been on and detailed has been very cool to watch and relatable for me, and probably most other golfers out there!

  2. Mark– been subscribed for a while- but just want to say a huge THANK YOU, the little hand release drill is the first time I have understood how to actually release the club head. Just spent some time on the simulator and it is an actual revelation. Thanks so much for all the content! #chasingscratch

  3. I have a decent swing however at impact I’ve always struggled thee slightest flip. Basically an early release. What’s an opposite drill to have a late release? I would love to see both releasers(early and late) on on 30 minute video simultaneously! I’d love to hear the discussion between them and then ultimately you.

  4. Mark, This new helpful content is fantastic! Thank you for listening and doing more of your teaching content. Your old content was great but the years of experience since, has refined and improved the instruction even more. This is your best explanation of release yet! Thank you! Jeff

  5. This is so good… just so good… I appreciate this since I’ve been overcooking my in to out swing path lately and striking driver off the toe a little too much. Iron play has been affected a bit for me and I’m really glad this. Thanks again Mark! I’ll need to get myself out to the range to drill in my delivery patterns before playing again!

  6. Will certainly try this out, hopefully later today. I’m pretty sure that I don’t release the club, subsequently causing a huge loss in distance

  7. Very very interesting and clear. I am going through a swing change with my club pro, as I am "handsy". And what you have said almost all matches up, but it was after impact I couldn't fathom. But now, and I will watch this a few more times, I can see how to introduce this which may finish off what I need . Thank you Mark

  8. Mark ever thought of doing a vid with you and Mike Malaska … without blowing smoke up ya arse the 2 of you are the best thing on YouTube golf !! .. ?

  9. I can't remember which video it was but you mentioned keeping angles out of the back swing so you didn't have to remove them all again in the down swing. Game changer for me when I coupled it with your drills for getting "up and out" of the left side.
The way I feel the timing of it is imagining it as a stomp to ground my force and send it all into the ball. Awesome content as always and I'm forever in your debt

  10. Definitely working with face angles more as face is/was too open on downswing. Use split hand drill alot and find it helps me get in sequence. Thanks for this, brilliant content as usual.

  11. I think the root cause for rolling release patterns, ie crossing the arms and turning the face shut to follow thru, are products of restricted shoulder turn.

Since we are captured by the 2D video most of the time, the club looks to be passing the body from back swing to follow thru, while actually the clubhead will not pass the hands before finish if observed by the direction of the movement of the hands and body.

  12. A little confusing. So do you still want to deloft your iron a bit? If you start with a little shaft lean do you want to return to impact with that same shaft lean? I think that’s why people chicken wing but here you’re taking that out. If your have a 42* club and you deloft at address to 45* then where should be at impact? Back to 42* or 45*?

  13. Makes great sense, after breaking my right elbow my right arm doesn’t completely straighten out anymore it’s been interesting to say the least trying to figure out ball positions and grip so great tips.

  14. Took all these concepts to the range today. I’m so happy with my results and see that this will help my golf journey. I’m so glad i watched this today. Good video 🙂

  15. Mark, I think the first 2 drills really risk a flippy release because they encourage the right shoulder to stall. Your swing is easy but with a lot of momentum and a nice release, your right shoulder releases through the ball. If right side stalls doomed to chicken wing

  16. I can't begin to tell you how much of your technical explanations have helped my game this year. I play very infrequently these days but managed 3xWins 2xTop 3 finishes in my 6 annual society comps, taking 2 shots off my handicap in the process. I will never have the time again to get back to single figures but just to be enjoying playing consistent golf again has a lot to do with these insights. Keep up the great work👍🏼

  17. Ahhhh so that's why I lose so much loft and can't get the ball in the air with driver. Now I need to find some time to work on these drills.

  18. Great drill …I do similar things to this just in a different way …really good to see this to reinforce what so many golfers need!!
