IS THIS THE BEST GOLF DRIVER FOR THE PRICE?

With the price dropping, does that also mean performance has dropped too. Mark Crossfield is reviewing and comparing the new PXG 0211 golf driver to give you everything you need to know.

  1. I got a 0811 XF for us $220. The fitting was great. I am very lucky that there is a PXG fitting center near my apartment in Seattle Wa. I have been playing a Ping K15 for 11 years. I now plan on getting a set of the 0211 irons. A do like what they are doing.

  2. Considering that you were looking to move up to 162 ball speed not too long ago you’re doing pretty good Mark! I like how you said that it wasn’t too “ping-y”. Considering the history of the company that’s a little on the nose. LOL. I do like that this is affordable. There’s definitely a push to get into the market in more sectors…which is great!!!

  3. Great video and now subscribed. I have this driver in a 12 degree adjisted to 10.5 with a stiff shaft and I was fitted for it that way. It is the most forgiving driver I have ever used. It stays in the fairway and no lost balls any more with very good distance. This is the best driver I have hit yet! That may not be the same for everyone but most I have seen say the same thing. Have fun with it 😁

  4. I have a PXG 7 wood and had them put a driver length xstiff shaft in it. It is a WEAPON. Two days ago, i hit the best shot of the year with it, a kick in birdie on a 200 yard par 3. I paid $120 for it.

  5. PXG woods and putters look really nice. But their irons look cheap and tacky. I can’t them as a company serious when their irons looks like they belong in a circus

  6. hell. i just picked up the new ping g430 LST for 575$ USD. but it has been a brilliant club for me. but at 300$ for the PXG, would seem just as good a deal and club no matter who you ask

  7. I took the offer of a fitting promotion for a GEN 5 Driver at their fitting centre, which happened to be close to me, when they were offering this Driver (Gen 5) for £250. Found it really easy to hit and very forgiving, V pleased given how expensive Drivers have become. Gen 5 is adjustable. 0211 here is cheaper and non-adjustable.

  8. Pxg want to try and get as many of their clubs in the bags of amateurs the same as any business. They build quality clubs and don't think they are afraid of revealing the mark ups in retail prices companies whack on there same products

  9. I've had the 0211 irons in the bag for 18 months , great clubs . Have to keep an eye on prices when buying as they fluctuate a lot

  10. I picked up previous model 0211 with a custom shaft for $155 cad brand new from PXG. I love it soo far and love that it has adjustable weights and hosel to dial in performance. Its a huge upgrade over the Big Bertha FT3 I was trying to game before lol Its an Incredible value considering the damiana shaft goes for 3/4s of the entire price of the club and it was a free add on!

  11. I've never had a PXG driver in my hands that I didn't absolutely love to look at down at the ball and that would be 3 different generations 🐊

  12. Thanks for another fantastic video Mark, I bought the original 2019, 0211 irons when they first lowered the price and they are awesome, also real deal mitsubishi MMT shafts, great irons at a very good price, from what I've seen the whole 0211 line is a great value with excellent performance

  13. I also am one of those who thought I'd never own PXG because of the outrageous price. But when they started marking down the GEN 4 clubs, and then offered the whole bag deal, I went for a fitting. Absolutely fantastic clubs, great fitting session, and a great price on top of it, delivered in under 2 weeks on top of it. I've heard horror stories of guys and gals waiting up to 6 months or more for custom fit clubs from other brands. PXG has won a fan here.

  14. I bought the previous version at £129. I didn't need a driver, but it seemed rude not to buy at that price. So glad I did. Much better than my Cobra SZ. I'm not keen on the head cover design, although quality is fine, but who cares about that?

  15. Bought old version PXG driver for $119 and love it. Higher launch less spin. Sounds good and just goes straight.

  16. I have the original 0211 irons and an 0811 proto driver. I would struggle to replace them with anything better for what I paid in my opinion. A brand that is now very much on my radar and definitely wasn't a few years ago!!

  17. 3.17 Roll & bulge or boll & rulge?😁 Good review. I have the 0311 5th gen that I got for £250. Bargain.

  18. Parsons played the long game. It's the only brand that makes sense for a large part of the population now – when value is of a concern. My wife and I are both full bag PXG users (except for her putter and her Smart Sole Chipper!) My advice – always buy PXG – and never at full price. My Gen 5 driver was $249 just a couple of months after it was introduced. Custom fit. Follow up visits with the fitter – all included. No brainer.

  19. For the money definitely best value for money!! I bought the Gen 5 driver back in August for £250 when PXG had a sale on. Fully fitted. Best club I’ve ever bought!

  20. Started playing again after 6 years, so I'd never heard of PXG until they started doing great deals ie gen5 £250 and then the 0211 @£129 which is what I bought as I could spec it to me. So I think it's a quality brand creating quality products at great prices. I just can't see them selling the really expensive products as there is so little performance gain. The big brands are going to have reduce their prices!

  21. PXG are way out in front for Value for Money right now.. Performance is up there with the best of them.

  22. Competition in this market is good, especially for us consumers. Choice as well, the more brands the better!
PXG has staff on Tour right along with the usual suspects, they're doing just fine and hope they stick around/avoid getting bought out .
