ARE HYBRID IRONS ANY GOOD? | Cobra T-Rail vs Wilson Launchpad 2 | Hybrid Golf Iron Review

In this video we take a look at the hybrid iron sets of clubs. Traditionally hybrids were designed to replace longer irons as they are much easier to get the ball in the air. However with how popular they have become now, we are seeing more and more brands turning a full set of irons from 3 irons to even sand wedges in the hybrid style. Which is why in this video i tested probably the two most poular sets to do these in the cobra t rail and the wilson launchpad. At first glance you would think that it would be quite hard to get underneath the ball with such a big back behind it, but i was found to be proved wrong.

  1. Maybe post a link to your spreadsheet so we can filter out clubs based on forgiveness rating, ball speed, carry distance etc?

  2. Can you try hitting them out of the “rough” ?the cobras could move up your leaderboard…..I play out of the rough a lot hahahaha

  3. Check and compare the cleveland Halo XL hybrid irons.

I have sw-5i and I really enjoy them as a newbie however I am getting tons of distance

  4. I play the Cobra T-Rails and I'm very pleased with them. They are easy to hit and I have no lack of distance issues with them. All of these type of clubs look different, but forget the looks if you are wanting a club that is easy to play and can deliver good results and scores. Also, I tested both the Cobra T-Rails and Wilson Launchpads. The Cobra T-Rails worked best for me.

  5. who looks at clubs and says man they sure are pretty? lol,, give me accuracy

  6. I was somewhat of a snob when I was younger; I played MacGregor MT blades with the leather grip and gold welt like Nicklaus played. When hit on the sweet spot, they felt wonderful but anything off center and it was like hitting a rock. I'm 40-odd years removed from those days and, at 73, I recently got a set of the Wilson LP2s to try and regain some consistency. I played my first round with them 4 days ago and I shot 17 shots better than my last time out using Ping G20s. I just concentrated on making a good swing each time and the ball went high, far, and straight. I'm in love with them as the results speak for themselves. Ball striking is easy, almost effortless and, IMO, they're absolutely beautiful. I can only suggest any older golfer (or, maybe a beginner) give these a try.

  7. I have heard the Wilson Launch Pad 2's are pretty awesome clubs and would be great for someone looking for more distance.

  8. I have Wilson LP 1’s from 2020. Absolutely love them! The height is great and I got a few extra yards from each iron. The best thing for me is the PW. I can hit it consistently from 100-135 yards easy. And chipping with it around the green is like a cheat. I can’t recommend these enough. I’m a 13 handicap that used to be a 20 before these! I’m hitting them more and more consistently at the range and can even fade them a bit now
