First up is testing and reviewing this golf balls around the green. If you want to change your golf ball, I highly suggest a thorough test around the greens first!

  1. I use the Pro V1x currently, but have tried out the Bridgestone Bxs I think it is. I loved that ball. It was longer than the Pro V1x off the tee for me and had crazy spin around the greens. With the wedges it was too much spin at times. I really needed to focus on taking spin off the ball and even then on soft greens it still spun too much. I want to get some more to continue my testing, but it's basically winter time now here in the Northeast. That will wait for spring time next year. The construction worker in the background must have stock in nails. Dude is going at it like he's trying to shoot the star out at a carnival game with an air rifle…..🤣🤣

  2. Looking forward to seeing some driver numbers Andrew. Seems like all these companies that are producing balls that perform well around the green seem to not be able to compete off the tee with ProV's, ChromeSoft, TP5,etc. Kirkland comes to mind. Great soft ball around the green. Lose 15+ yards of the tee.

  3. tried the oncore elixir a few years ago and didn't really like it. it felt way to firm and didn't seem that high quality of a ball. seems like they might of changed things up

  4. I've been using the OnCore Golf Elixr this season on my 10-year plan/quest for better golf, better health, and better living. Yes, always test, but I love the feedback I get from these Oncore Elixr balls off my irons and woods.

  5. great choice AJ, really curious to see how the rest of your review goes…I've been gaming the Elixr for a few years now after changing over from a ProV1 and I'll never look back. Took me a few rounds to get used to the 2022 version after OnCore firmed it up and changed the dimple pattern, but it's like a glove now. Durability is pretty legendary. I have tried the VeroX1 but it feels a hair too firm and doesn't spin as much with my 4-7 irons and I found myself airmailing landing zones….not tried the X2 and something tells me it's not the ball for me but maybe I'll pick up a sleeve with my next Elixr order and see what I see

  6. 2 years playing the elixr. They changed the ball in 2022, still performs. For me it was the 100 and in hard wedge. The elixr never zips back. Stops and will come back a couple of yards, but doesn't spin too much. If you have better control on both distance to a spot and the amount of spin, the ProV is the ball for you. If you want the ball to pretty much stop where it lands, the elixr is the ball.

  7. For my game, I judge the ball based on short game almost exclusively. As long as the long game is good enough I’m happy. Sounds like somebody was getting a new roof

  8. I used the I’ve been playing “seriously” for just under 3 years now. I played around 5-10 rounds a year with my dad before I started playing every weekend. When I began keeping my handicap I was around a 9 or 10 index. I figured I was getting to the point where I could use refurbished pro v1s. Then I got down to about a 4 and decided I was getting good enough to buy myself new prov1s. I just recently got below a 1 handicap index and realized that maybe the pro v1s weren’t my favorite ball(I had hit all sorts of found balls). So I decided to buy a sleeve of just about every premium ball there is. I found that I absolutely love the Bridgestone tour bx. It checks every box. Long off the tee and has phenomenal spin around the greens in my opinion

  9. I saw an ad for the Vero last year in November. I got a promo code to buy a dozen and I did. My first round with them I shot 2 under. I was sold. I was playing TM TP5 I bounce back and forth between the Elixr and VeroX1. I have not hit the X2 yet. Looking forward to trying it out. Do yourself a favor and try a dozen!!

  10. Hi AJ first time viewer found your review looking at Oncore, really enjoyed your review, so now have you on YouTube as a subscriber👍, use ProV1x love it’s performance around the Greens, good distance for me off Driver, (for my slow swing speed). 78mph, do Oncore plan to stock there Ball’s in Pro shop’s in the UK? Looking forward to your further tests, Thanks Dickey 9hcp 75year Senior Golfer UK

  11. Hard to gather much info from this without a comparison to another ball. Some days I get range balls to check like Pro V1s on our practice greens. Depends on the practice green really.
