I've only worn Footjoy Dryjoy Tour's for at least the last 15 years. Simply the best shoe ever in my opinion, super comfortable and waterproof and it offers me the support and grip I need on my hilly course. Now that the Tour's appear to have been discontinued, these look as though they may be a suitable replacement and if I can get the Boa system i'll be sorted again.
I decided to order a pair of these doing a try before you buy from an online store to see if they could compete with my Ecco’s. I’ve had both hips replaced and foot comfort is paramount, but growing up using my dad’s old golf shoes, these brought back great memories…went with the Tarlow in the same exact pattern you have there (all the way to your left, viewer’s right)…Warning to anyone who tries these on in a store…they will feel stiff, firm, and frankly ,cheap because they are so light…To me, they originally felt like they were made out of cardboard…BUT, since it was a 7 day trial period, I gave them a whirl and wore them for 4 or 5 range sessions of about 3 hours between range, chipping, and putting sessions in various heat conditions (100+, 85, 70s)…They are AWESOME! The thing is, they are made from real leather and need to be broken in like the old days…that took one session to do…the bottom design is great. Very comfortable, great stability, and great grip. Never felt like I was going to slip…I’m planning to buy a second pair and design my own…my only 2 gripes. Wish they made the Tarlow in the spikeless version, and wish they made a model with the old tongue flap with the tassels on it to go really old school!!!
Love the look but will need to try in a store in Bangkok as I’m difficult to fit. However, reminding of a pair of shoes I had when I was far younger
