  1. Little confused what iron they hitting. Is it a 6 bent to 25 or a 5 bent to 25? … oh they said 6 later on.

  2. Interesting to see T100 in there as a reference point. Curious why T200 isn’t in there as well.

  3. i had the forged tec x. very forgiving. super impressed vs 2020… however i switched to the ping i525 for the shaft and the reduced offset….i could have gotten the forged tec 2022 but love the light swing weight with the ping i525 as a starting point. you can fit anyone in these now. no more 1/2" extended and having to play d5….. finally finally ping. thank you.

  4. This rather confirms my view of the i525 – it is a good club but other manufacturers do the same thing just a little better. Arguably that is a little bit of an improvement over the i500 where other manufacturers had noticeably better offerings in the same category – but that is Ping all over, every iteration is just a little better than before, either a little closer to the opposition if they were lagging or a little further away from the opposition if they already had the better club.

Have to admit that I do play Ping i210s in the irons, Ping G410 hybrid and a G425 5w – Ping is slowly taking over my bag!

  5. What is the category between Player Distance Irons and Player Irons? I would love to see that being tested…

  6. In the few reviews I've seen so far, I can't help but be impressed by the Mizuno Hot Metal Pros. For them to have such strong distance while still keeping higher spin and descent angle seems like such a great combo. Personally, for irons, my eye always goes to the carry distance and the total distance columns. Those had the least runout of all the longer irons (second to the Titleist, that were much shorter). I sold my game improvement irons because I wanted that Mizuno forged feel of my old MP-54's, but these HMP's have me rethinking that.

  7. I'm so close to making this move. I tried the 2020 Forged Tecs. Issues:
    – Random Flyers, esp on pullsdraws – assuming because of extreme loss of spin
    – I use my irons for chipping all the way down to 7i
    – Massive gaps around the wedges.

I would love to see a video where you take someone through this move from a club fitting perspective and address these issues. I.e. do you add wedges? Do you have to drop hybrids, etc?

  8. I tested the i525 against the Mizuno 223 and did not pick up too much of of “feel” issue using a TP5. But for me it’s got to be the i230 going forward!
