TaylorMade's SECRET NEW DRIVER!?

TaylorMade’s SECRET NEW DRIVER!? When TaylorMade release new golf clubs we always wonder if they are going to be the best golf clubs of 2022, the most forgiving golf clubs of 2022, the best driver of 2022, potentially even the best forgiving driver of 2022… with the success of the Taylormade Stealth driver this year its surprising to see a new Taylormade driver so soon… but in all honesty I think this could well be the best driver I’ve ever hit… and not only that, but they have given it a makeover to stealth it out… pardon the pun, should you buy a new Taylormade 300 series black out mini driver? let’s find out… and let’s do it now!

  1. Big fan of the mini-driver and interchange with my driver based on course I’m playing.

  2. I have the 300 mini driver (13.5) and it's amazing off the tee when my driver is getting swirly. Love the feel and accuracy of the mini driver

  3. Why not try a shorter shaft in your driver while increasing the loft? That would seem to get a lot of the benefits at a fraction of the cost…

  4. there's hundreds of these at Hotgolf right now near Cheshire Oaks for anyone wanting one LOL

  5. How long is the shaft? And would you have the same affect by shortening the shaft of your standard driver? (I have the Callaway Rouge ST Max)

  6. Nice video James. Having grown up with 43.5" length drivers this one just feels right. I use my 300 mini often, in fact the last two rounds it was in the bag. Thanks for showing us again that the longer shafts and larger heads aren't necessarily better.

  7. It's a shame they don't advertise it, as you said, this would help a lot of players, and I'm sure they would fly out of the shops..

  8. James – if you love these so much why are they not your regular gamer?

  9. Smaller heads amplify the trampoline effect off the face but sacrifice forgiveness, realistically the shortness of the shaft is the main point for folks who lack confidence in their driver. In reality its likely better to get yourself fit for a proper flexed 42-44" shaft in your current 440-460cc driver head to improve control and forgiveness if you don't care about sacrificing distance.

  10. Great point about producing more mini drivers. The amateur golfer makes up the bulk of the custom for any manufacturer. Why not sell to that fact instead of selling because the tour pros uses it.

  11. I like this idea. Large driver heads just look strange. Dense mass in a smaller driver head would give the same results as those larger head drivers. And the sound would be fantastic. I hit my P790 2 iron 250 and wonder why I even use a driver?

  12. I have played most of the season with a 3 wood instead of a driver, it was more reliable for me but I am sacrificing yardage… I've wanted a mini driver for a while but the 2nd hand market has been insane, used 300 minis are all around $400 with is pretty much sticker price. This is something I'll watch, I'm very interested in this.

  13. I tried a shorter shaft driver for average swing speed golfers mine at 90- 95 I lost around 20 + yards compared to my normal driver

  14. Love mine, I have the previous model. It is a rockstar. 10 yards shorter than my driver, but twice as many fairways. I rarely use my driver.

  15. Really feel sorry for all the fools that fall for the( this is the longest driver we’ve made) crap!!
    Pay them pros!!

  16. These are very nice clubs. Only down side is that if Taylormade calls it a Mini Driver, then why can't you get it in more traditional driver lofts? Could you imagine what this would with 8-9 degrees of static loft?

  17. I have The Original One Mini Driver. I hit it well. Comes in handy at the course closest to me which has a lot of par 4s between 280 and 310 which I over shoot with my TS3.

  18. Odd, that TM has spent 10 years & $millions developing & launching their carbon faced Stealth drive (which is going to change the face of Drivers forever) and then a few months later launched a new driver with a…………titanium face?????
Am I the only one who finds that hysterical?

  19. One day im going to tell the truth about, golf and other sports equipment. How they are made, costs, research/development, marketing plan and how ther their "new product" plan is. It's just so much fake commercials to make people attached and dedicated to a product or a brand, when you've been on the inside and seen the truth.

  20. I’ve used a 300 Mini since January after seeing reviews. Suits my game well. I play off 14 and can hit 300 Mini the same distance but more accurately than my Ping G410 driver – 200 to 220 yds. Now rarely lose a ball off the tee. Tricky to get hold of one and wish Taylor Made would realise they’re missing this opportunity to sell more.
