What do you play, golf blades or cavity backed golf irons?

  1. That topline on the jpx gives me anxiety. I've never felt comfortable over a chungus of a club like that.

  2. I love Mizunos! Will always stick with them. Great feel and sound.

  3. Blade for me, narrower sole is something I get on better with and I have no issues hitting them

  4. I play old vintage stuff mainly that predominantly are of the bladed variety! Sometimes I have a bad rnd and go back to cavity backs but very rarely score massively better if at all! I find sometimes a blade helps you focus more on getting strike right! And they look so nice 😊

  5. Blades for the feel all day! Perfectly struck bladed 4i may be off the planet (just ask coach😅) , but it feels so good!

  6. I would pick the srixon out of those 2 but I have changed this year from titleist MBs to t100 and love them!

  7. Blades all day, for some reason i feel more confident and prefer looking down at a thin top line rather than a chunky 1.

  8. Love a combo. Currently MP-18 blades to the 6i, with MP-20 HMB long irons. LOVE my setup. Currently an 8, but only so high because of my driver.

  9. Apex 21 7-P and DCB 5 and 6. I love blades. Getting older but find I struggle with real chunky irons. Flattish swing and I’m a picker. Can you comment on why some people struggle with the chunky monkeys? Turf interaction?

  10. i just started playing again last year an tried blades for first time would never go back to cavity. more confident with blades

  11. I'd love to be about to game either. Personally I'd go with the cavity backs. I like the bladed look with the cavity help. I currently game a game improvement hollow bodied irons. Because I'm a mid to higher handicap player.

  12. Bladed for me. I strike everything pure and you get about 1 club in length aswell as the blade feels and looks alot better to me.😁 I've got the Taylormade 790s as well.

  13. The blades. I learned to play golf with Northwestern blades and I've never been able to hit an iron that doesn't look like a blade at address.

  14. To my eye, those Mizunos are butt ugly. The ZX7s or the Mizuno 223s are right in my wheel house

  15. Got abit of a odd combo set at the moment.
    Srixon Z545 5 iron
    Srixon Z585 6 & 7 iron
    Srixon Z965 8 – Pw
Love these srixon irons, thinking about get the MKII when they come out.

  16. Blades. I’m in it for the good feelings, a shot or two over the course of a few rounds is worth the trade.

  17. I’m sitting at 5-6 handicap right now. Been down to a 3 a couple years ago. I play well, I want blades or smaller cavity back irons. I start playing bad, I sell the blades and buy the biggest cavity back I can find. Wash, rinse, repeat… 😩⛳️🏌🏽‍♂️

  18. Can't leave the feel of the blade, but only have wedges through 8 iron Callaway Apex Pro, , hybrids for 7 iron ( are 7iron,, 6, 5, lose at least 1 club of distance,

  19. Just got fit, so cool: MizunoPro223 7-P; Mizuno Hot MetalJPX923 HL in 5 and 6 Iron!! Thanks Mark! (I even fit a 7 wood cobraLTDx!!)

  20. Tried cavity clubs with smallish offset (Ping i3), could not get used to them. Use old Dunlop blades at moment. However would like to try old set of Ping Zing or ISI where blade looks to be more separated from hosel at address.

  21. Hollow body MP225's for me because they give me a bit more distance and help as I get older but they look much more like blades. Actually the 9 iron an PW are effectively blades and I love the look.

  22. Current have gave improvement cbs. Looking at upgrading next year to abit more of a sexy cb. Never hit blades.

  23. I run the 921 tours 4-pw love the clubs find them great for still letting me know about miss hits but still doing OK when it happens!
I was running mp20s mmc 345 then mp20 blades 6789 which was OK but liking the tours more!

  24. Blades for me. I have no real issues hitting them and I like knowing that I get out what I put in.
