PGA Tour VV LIV Golf.. Here’s What The REAL Difference Is
Welcome back to Sports Craze. The LIV Golf era is officially underway with the Saudi-backed startup tour in the midst of its first season. For years, fans have been accustomed to the PGA Tour and the traditional stroke play that comes with it. But the LIV Golf London event earlier this year debuted a new format. LIV features teams, three rounds and a different payout system.
Perhaps the first thing fans will notice just by looking at the LIV Golf schedule is that there are only three rounds. On the PGA Tour, fans count on four rounds of golf. The biggest impact may be on cuts. The PGA Tour has more than 100 golfers in most of its tournaments, and the four-round system allows for an easy cutoff midway through the tournament.
That’s not the case with LIV Golf. With just 48 golfers and three rounds, all golfers will compete from the start of the first round until the end of the third, unless they decide to withdraw.

This is the best thing to happen to golf, the PGA is just a Mafia run by the oldies of the old game

I love watching golf. Any golf. People who can’t see past the PGAT smoke and see how much great golf exists outside that are really missing out. And thanks to Liv, the PGAT finally listened and are making much needed change. There is a reason why the average age of viewers for the pga is like 90.
This is simple, more then half of all LIV, Liers In Vain golfers have never won on any golf tour. It's a golf exhibition tour for a few retiring golfers and this announcer is calling out money amounts like its guaranteed for a career. It's not. (Ask Phil if he got his $200 Mil. yet) Nothing but the World Football League and won't last 2 years.
The Biggest difference is team play
In that concept a member with 2 bad rounds can help his team on the third day
This also helps older players who are still capable but putting 3
4 rounds together lessen .
