In this video we review how to play golf using the better ball format of play. This type of golf game involves 2 golfers forming a team that is competing against the other team of two in the foursome and all other teams of two in the competition. Only the best score for each hole out of the two is recorded on the scorecard and the team with the lowest total score wins the competition.
We also discuss tactics and strategies involved, such as deciding who between the two golfers should tee off first. Or how making a par on a hole may give an incentive for the other player to really try and make a birdie, without worrying what the comeback putt will look like if he misses.
Better ball is a great golf format where each golfer tries to help his partner and where you can get bailed out by your partner when you struggle on one hole (or a few…)
