You should learn to keep your ball in a lower trajectory below the wind on windy days and also low for hitting under a tree if you have to. Also as well, a lower ball flight will help you control the ball better.
If you can learn to hit irons low,this will give you another option when you are out on the course depending on the conditions and your lie.
The biggest thing you need to change is the length of your backswing and the length of follow through.
Take your backswing back to 9 o’clock and the follow thorugh to 3 o’clock.
Just a slight change in the bacswing will help kee the ball lower,using something like a 5 or 6 iron will do the job depending on course circumstances.
Keeping your iron shots low is something you need to practice first when you are on the range.
