So MLS fans will know the Achilles heel of Marsch/Red Bull tactics. (I heard an MLS pundit call it “energy drink soccer,” and it totally fits.)
Marsch was able to win the 34 game regular season playing this way. But in the post season, tired legs meant they were always knocked of the tournament early. Leeds has to find some squad depth or the second half of the season will be a struggle.

mendy's body shape was all wrong to play anything other than a short ball out to a right back who would have had to drop really deep outsite the 18 to recieve the pass. no one made themselves open and mendy didnt or couldnt make the adjustments to play it elsewhere or buy more time. goal leeds.
