You can’t buy backspin with a new wedge is what were looking at today. So what can you do to improve your backspin on the lower end off the bag

Thanks for watching guys! Hope this makes sense and love any criticism to make these better 🙌
Another great one…🙏🏻😎🙏🏻
Hi Simon great video but what do you think about groove sharpeners?
What’s the spin rate when you blade it into the lake?
Back spin looks impressive but does it really improve your score?
I've spun a ball back off a par 3 a few times.
Sam Snead playing a Pro-Am was asked by a spectator how he got all that backspin. Sam being the man he was asked "When you hit into a green are you mostly short or past the flag?" The spectator replied that he was almost always short. Sam asked "So what the hell do need backspin for?"
I've really enjoyed your last couple of tutorial videos. More please 🙏
Great content time and time again 😎
Great video, don't see many videos on how to strike the ball properly with wedges to get them to stop or a bit of spin, cheers👍
Bought a glide 4.0 and a full cb G lob wedge.. the G has more spin than the glide
Great lesson Simon!!
Your tutorials are very succinct and easy to follow. Keep adding more, please.
That Glide 4 looked like the toe had seen a lot more action than the grooves!
My cheap beginner set only went down to a pitching wedge. I’ve been looking for any kind of decent used gear locally, but might have to use eBay/online. I got a decent condition sand wedge for only $5. After some more research – it’s from the 80s. Not sure of loft on it. In the 56-60 range. I’ve been trying to use it as much as I can to get more experience with it. Was originally thinking of getting a Kirkland set of wedges if I have to go new.
Great video, keep up the good work!
Excellent advice.
Thank you for this video! Excellent job!
I have a question please answer…. So I’m looking at some older cavity back irons. Some have plastic on the back of the clubs and it’s broken or chipped. If I get clubs and remove all the plastic does that affect the performance of a club or is it just cosmetic? Thank you
A few years ago, I was drawing my ball back a decent amount with my 56. I've never hit in front of a swing monitor to see what my spin rates are, but I hit about 115. I don't seem to be drawing the ball back anymore. It hits and stops where it's at. I always assumed the greens were to soft and were taking a lot of spin out of the ball, but maybe I'm not playing the ball in the same spot in my stance. I'm still hitting 115 with that club, but I guess I could be swinging faster or slower now to make up for the angle change.
Good to see this video, now I know what to look for.
groovy
Got kirkland wedges kept sharping them got lazrus about a month ago buitifull
I enjoy your guidance and lessons
