  1. Good video Ali. Does this apply to the driver too? Just recently I have started using a stronger grip with my driver as I used to keep hooking it left.

  2. We need this video to explain why a weekend player cannot simply rotate the club handle in his hand before he squeezes his Weak or Strong grip. The two grips differ in club face angle during the downswing, fine. I feel most comfortable with a Weak grip. I want to swing more with my body, and less with my hands (hands seem too busy to reliably have fine control for me). Rather than me switching to a strong grip, can I instead simply rotate the club face more closed at setup? Thanks for any answer you can offer.

  3. Great video to correlate the grip type to the release! In todays game, what type of release is recommended?

  4. Great explanation and demo of cause & effect and what it takes to hit good shots from different starting positions!

  5. From a guy that just wants to enjoy golf with my son a couple of times a week, this video is a top 10. I was using a weak grip but was having trouble rotating my hands through the swing consistently. After a very frustrating day on the course, I watched your video and immediately went out and tried the stronger grip with hip rotation. I saw improvements immediately and hitting shots more consistently. Like you said, I don’t have to think so hard on what my hands are doing, just rotate this hips. Thank you for the clarity of the explanation on club face during parts of the swing, that’s what did it for me! I enjoy all your videos, but this was definitely a top 3 for me!!

  6. Thanks for the great explanation regarding the difference in release for weak grips vs strong grips. I'm just learning and have been taught to use a neutral grip (2 knuckles showing). Does this mean that I should be using a hybrid release that requires some hands/arms plus body rotation?

  7. I find these short videos great training aids because they explain cause and effect of the changes, with practical demonstration. I think my grip is neutral, and is easy to check by looking at how much I can rotate the head. Knowing that I need to release correctly when I change my grip avoids poor outcomes. We/I don't need all the technical info when you demonstrate things so well. I especially like the swing slower, hit further video ( you should add the tagline "and more accurately" to that one. I really enjoy my golf these days because of the confidence I have in my technique.
