Golf Club Repair – Part 4 – The Golf Grip – Removing a grip with a pressurized grip remover

Removing a grip from a golf club can be a challenge if you don’t have the right tools. Having a gripping station is a key ingredient to performing safe golf club repairs.

Your work station should consist of:
1. A good vice or station
2. Golf Shafts and Double Sided Tape
3. A good supply of golf grips
4. Grip Solvent
5. Pressurized Grip Remover
6. Goggles and bib
7. Other suplies from Golfworks

These are just some of the items you may need to perform the repairs successfully.

  1. I purchased my grip station from the GolfWorks in Newark, Ohio. It works very well and has made working with golf clubs much easier. I couldn't imagine doing any re-gripping without it.

  2. I use HF100 grip solvent. It's nontoxic, nonflammable, biodegradable and won't dry out your skin.

  3. Please do not use this syringe method. A grip is not worth losing your hand or fingers. Seriously, research this.
