Golf Show Episode 95 | STILL the coolest bag in golf – Jones Sports Company Hardwood golf bag review

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Episode 95 of the Golf Show.

In this episode Paul reviews the latest golf bag from the Jones Sport Company, from Portland, Oregon, USA.

Founded in 1971 by George Jones who used to sew golf bags between fares in his taxi-cab and then sell them at the local golf club at the weekend. Over 50 years on and 1 Million bags sold, Jones is going from strength to strength, using modern materials, while staying true to their original design.

In this episode Paul reviews Jones’ latest model, the Hardwood golf bag, with its retro single strap. This bag keeps it simple and is made for those who like to walk the links.

But… at $170/£170 these bags are not cheap. Are they worth the money?

Paul has used Jones bags on and off for years, so gives his honest opinions on the pro’s and con’s of these iconic bags.

  1. I'm really liking the Titleist rain hood/towel. What a brilliant idea 👍
ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY POUNDS 😮😮😮 Get ready for the Yorkshire war cry Paul… "Owwww much!!!"
It does look nice in a retro sort of way but there's no way on earth I'd be buying one of those, I'd be living in the garage 😉

  2. I do like the look of those Jones bags, Paul but realistically I think it's unlikely that I'd buy one. I do like to carry and I think I'd miss my double strap now.
