I like the idea of single length irons since in theory each club should feel the same, but as you experienced ball flight with the longer clubs can be lower and likely higher with short irons due to shaft length. I listened to a podcast with the guy who made Bryson's original single length irons and he pointed out how they had to manipulate the shaft tipping to get the desired ball flight. Interesting test. Moral of the story, get fit and stick to one set.
Are single length irons expensive. I would like to try them. Don’t have to lean over the ball so much. In theory you should get more distance with a longer club.
