those Maxfli's came out around 2000 I had a set and love them shouldn't of got rid of them they were great clubs, but I hurt my back so I sold them when I could and then I went through a bunch a of sets and ended up buying the midsize Maxfli's with graphite shafts and I hated them so they are for sale, and I went to a classic iron that I new I would like Ping EYE2's yes I know they are out dated but I'm not playing any tournaments and they play great
Might be time for me to upgrade then. I’m still using exactly those maxflis…
Still play my Maxfli Revolution black dots , fantastic soft feeling clubs with old school looks play off 7 with them and have tried many others over the years but always come back to the Maxfli irons .
Hi Simon the Maxfli revolutions came out in 1998/99. Advertisement was about the double copper plating under the chrome.
Hi Simon, great vid as usual mate.
I've just scored a deal on a near mint set of original (1976) Maxfli blades. I am an 18 handicap at the moment but improving every week. I'm only recently back into golf. I have always hit my irons quite well but am I being too nostalgic by trying to play with these blades? Do you think my game will go backwards?
They feel so good on clean hits though.
They are a great set of sought after irons. Easy hitting and well made.
wow – those Revos are in great condition considering how old they are. they nick really easily on the soles from bag clatter. I had the revo midsize – one of my better irons I had.
Maxfli revolution probably about 1999. Quite a few played with 3-5 in black dot 6-sw in red. Probably the Maxfli revolution ball was the softest and most expensive at the time.
Show off
Dropped from 18 to 9.2 so think it’s time for x12s to be upgraded to new bats!
Good advice I bought a driver 5 months ago
From the people from America the loft
Was ok then but I'm outgrowing it
And looking to change as my swing is
Improving with lessons and I will not
Be buying new Simon
Beginner left handed golfer any suggestions what I should be looking for
🤣🤣 I gave my favourite Wilson cheap hybrid away. 180yards dead straight every single time. He won’t give it back to me 🤣🤣
Just had a fitting and playing wrong shafts and forged heads making the spin go nuts. On the hunt now hope I find something before the season starts
The irons are great ….. I have a set and they are as good as anything on the market today. 💪
You can get a decent new set for far less than £800
Just bought a set Callaway apex Pro 16 for £190 (€225). 4 to pw. I live in Ireland so with postage and tax probably €300. Do you think this is a good deal? I think if they don't suit should be able to sell in spring for at least €350?
Maxfli clubs and balls a loss to us golfers same with team daiwa who made great clubs 👍⛳👍
can I buy this off of you?
Simon, could you provide a golf shaft tutorial? Specifically differences between brands…
Aldila vs. Project X vs. Dynamic Gold etc. What should beginner vs. intermediate golfers aim for? Thx so much, love the channel 🙂
I bought a set of 3-PW of Maxfli Revolution Black Dot last season. Excellent condition, hardly used at all, they feel great and also looks really good!
One thing I'd point out Simon that hurt my game when I went from my 2nd set ('94 Cougar Miracles) to my 3rd set (imitation '98 Callaway X-12s/Integra Professional Golds) is the iron loft differences (which if you look, the Miracles vs. the X-12s were way different). That messed up my game and it didn't really recover very well especially yardage and accuracy-wise. I'm still trying to get the distances/accuracy I used to have back. Of course, after digging out my old driver/3-wood during my good golfing days to the range, and well….that didn't look pretty (slice-heaven).
Maxfli revolution were my first brand new set I was around 12 years old £375 3-pw with free stand bag. They were the irons to have at the time. Must have been 1998/99 ish
Great set of irons, supersoft feel due to the nickel chrome not Forged, there usually pretty battered these days, that’s a nice set!
Hi Simon.
Currently rebuilding my bag. I've made a few buys over the last 2 months, with a lot of tips & recommendations from your channel on what to look for and transition is going very well. So a HUGE Thanks.
But from this clip the comment about keeping Fav clubs from old set as backup while getting used to set clubs was eye opening. So another big thanks for that tip. 👍👍👍
All I would do is regrip the clubs and but a sand wedge
To be fair those Adams Tight Lies are actually decent imo. I have a strong 3 wood, which yes, it was a hand me down, and I've still got it in the bag. Works great for me
I really like golf equipment. I've got my go to Mizuno MP55 irons, and my TM M2 driver. Just found the best 3 wood I ever had in an Xxio X Black, and my go to putter is an Odyssey Stroke Lab TEN. What I never can seem to dial in is wedges. They float in and out of my bag. I have never felt like I could say,"these are my go to wedges." I have tried them all. I am going to have to, dare I say, get fitted for wedges.
