I feel STUPID not knowing these GOLF CLUBS existed…

So we accidentally bought some rare Aussie blades and only after getting home did I realise what we had acquired.

  1. Australian Blades are LEGEND! I am deeply regretting selling the set I had and restored when I was on COVID layoff. 😫

  2. I've never hit the Australian Blades by Maxfli/Dunlop but I have used nothing but old blades for years. Granted the distance in the older blades don't go as far as the same number on the bottom of the club but it's such a rush when you flush one of the old babies. I have to admit I don't get a lot of mishits with them because they make you some how a more consistent ball striker. Keep them Australians and really enjoy "playing" golf.

  3. Simon you forgot Australia's greatest golfer Peter Thompson, do your homework on what events he won – you will be dumb founded. Yes he Played Dunlop Maxfli at one stage.

  4. I've recently turned into a bit of a blade perv. This would be like finding buried treasure to me!

  5. If I knew how I would post a few pics of my K. Knox R 700 blades Australia 3,4,5,(the 6 is a K.Knox Course Master) 7,8 (9 & Sand Wedge also K. Knox Course Master) I had these as my 1st set. too hard for me but I just couldn't let them go

  6. Im interested in becoming a 2nd golf club reseller kinda like what you dabble in. So, when you say you were otw to pick up a job lot of club what exactly do you mean? From the stock footage I'm assuming you mean some type of bulk amount of used clubs….if that's true, how and where are you finding these job lots and is this the main way you aquire clubs that you're able to turn around and resell for a profi

  7. I'm so happy that irrespective of the economy crisis and financial conditions I am still able to earn $19,500 returns from my initial $6,500 every 10 days. Crypto Investment is the future!!!

  8. I owned an earlier Maxfli Australian Blade set ( the one with the red bullseye ) and they were demanding but very rewarding. Thanks for the memory.

  9. This took me back! I was contracted to Wilson Staff, in the 60's and remember these blades and Kel Nagle clubs.

  10. I had a set of Dunlop Maxfli Australian blades in the 80’s, I had got down to about 3 hcp and the pro at the club said I needed forge blades now(from my Ping-eye’s) as they would help my game. They are honestly the worst clubs I have ever owned, as you experienced they go about knee high and you had to strike the ball as near the heel as you could which made no difference to the height anyway. Stuck with them for about 2 months….then back to my Pings. They were good for chip and run or perhaps that was because I had more opportunities for that shot……

  11. I picked up a set of 1988 Wilson Staff Fluid Feel blades for $100 in mint condition. They feel as good as, if not better, any modern blade out today.

  12. Australian Blades, Daiwa Advisors, Ram Tour Grinds, Maruman Conductors. These were the clubs that everyone wanted back in the day. It's easy to discredit Dunlop because of what we've seen in recent years but don't forget that they're now owned by SRI (Sumitomo Rubber Industries) who own Srixon/Cleveland/XXIO. Worth noting that the Dunlop logo is starting to be seen on the back of Srixon players hats in recent tournaments so perhaps the brand is due for a revival?

  13. My dad got me a set of Aussie blades as my first "real" irons. They are very special…I've tried a lot of different Irons but keep coming back to blades.

  14. Wow, great irons. I played with a friend at salt burn golf club and we swapped golf bags. He had the Australian blades immaculate and they where fantastic. I dropped 1 shot gross off 7 handicap. I tried to source a set and couldn’t. Lovely stable blade, great find and great channel, thank you

  15. A final note I forgot to mention, great for shaping shots! But yes there can slaughter you if your not on your game. You got a bargain

  16. I played maxfli A10 irons for a long time, and they were as good as anything for feel and face control.

  17. I've had a Maxfli DP20 sitting in my shed for years, only use it for punching out from under trees. Bought some MacGregor golden bear blades recently only $40NZ, and they feel real nice off the face as you say nice for training aids or maybe a Sunday challenge.
