Australian Jessica Stenson has emerged as the first woman to mount the medal podium at three different Commonwealth Games for marathon races. Jessica secured bronze medals in the previous games but beat defending champion, Helalia Johannes from Namibia and Kenyan Margaret Wangari Muriuki in the 22nd edition of the commonwealth games in Birmingham.
Whilst Kenyan Margaret Wangari Muriuki wins a silver medal, Helalia Johannes from Namibia mounts the podium for a second consecutive time for a bronze medal.
