I don't get to play nearly as much as some of you guys, but last round I played I hit a stinger with my 3 hybrid about 260 yards. It is Winter conditions so the ball did roll quite a bit further, but I was elevated and the ball from where I was standing was maybe 15 feet off the ground max, but cleared a 30 foot tree about 175 yards and right into the center of the fairway. The base of the tree was about 20 feet below the elevation that I was standing at. I was 124 yards from the pin, and I was 384yards from the pin standing over the ball. This is because I popped my tee-shot up in the air and it only went about 100 yards. I learned by watching Garrett showing other people how to do it.

Been focusing on almost pulling my lead shoulder down & forwards (or at least the feeling of that). I’ve found my ball striking is a lot more consistent when I do this & I get the joy of ripping an occasional stinger lol.

On a standard golf shot your pressure is 95% forward at impact. So, this is pretty incomplete. You can add late release, closed clubface, exit left.
And hitting down equals increased spin loft. The dude in the video has no idea how he hit that shot.
