Michael Beychok, the 2012 National Handicapping Championship winner, has made plenty of headlines this year. A well-known, outspoken horseplayer, Beychok joined the latest episode of Bettor Things with Joe Bianca this week to talk about his class-action suit against Baffert surrounding the since-vacated 2021 Kentucky Derby victory of Medina Spirit, his vow to move his handle to sports betting in response to drug issues in racing, the approach to tournament play that helped him win the NHC, his day job as a political consultant and more.

Great stuff! Nice picking on Haskell Day Joe!
I think Michael is like a lot of players who have been playing for years. They see racetracks doing very little about the corruption from trainers and jockeys, hightakeout etc, and have pulled back from wagering as much as they use to. Next 10 – 20 years are gonna be really bad unless racetracks do something about rhe pricing and cheating.
According to @PatCummingsTIF….20 years ago handle from Computer Robotic Wagering(CRW) was about 8%. Today it's around 30 -40%.
Nail in coffin.
It's interesting that Mike doesn't like the corruption in the horseracing world, but profits from the corruption in the political world.
You can stop the big computer organizations tomorrow morning. Stop giving them big rebates.
