Thanks for joining me today! After watching the video, try planning out what would be your perfect birthday. What would it look like? Would you have cake with a billion candles on it? Would you have friends over to help celebrate? What fun activities would you do?
Also, at the end of our story, Mr. Putter wrote Mrs. Teaberry a thank-you card for helping to make his birthday extra-special. Think about a time when someone did something extra special for you, something you weren’t expecting. Write them a thank-you card and thank them for doing that extra special thing!
Our tip for caregivers today: Talk, talk, talk! Sprinkle in new words to build your child’s vocabulary and expand on what your child tells you. If you point out a balloon to your child when you are in the grocery store, ask what it is, and get the answer that it is a balloon, you can agree and then talk about the images you might see on the balloon, or the colors. This will help them expand their language skills!
