Welcome to Part 2! The 2022 Open Championship is back at the Old Course in St Andrews for the first time since 2015. What do you think a “normal” golfer shoot here?
Erik Anders Lang, a 6 handicap, is attempting to break 90. Follow along on this 2-Part series to find out if he does it.

Are you ok. I am worried about you. You look like you don’t care. Borderline disrespectful. Man are lucky to play the old course. I will probably never play it. It is on. My wish list.
Erik, we’re you drunk or high during this shooting ?
2:50 my ideal situation would be being able to play there!
starting with the view of the putt on 17 to the finish was sensational. made me nostalgic for something i’ve never even experienced. congrats Eric, and well done team. go on lads
Love the vice shade balls. Bought 5 dozen a month ago to hopefully last me the year, they’re so easy to spot.
Great content again Erik. Played the Old course on my 50th birthday in Feb 2020 just before 'you know what'. Shot 82 in driving wind and rain off a 9 handicap. It was the best golf experience of my life. What a place! Keep up the great work 👍
Way to go Erik. Way to turn it around on 17
Well done Erik. What a thrill it must’ve been 👍
What sort of 'love myself' jerk are you? You don't belong in the Auld Toon.Go home!
Maybe I’m wrong, but does anyone else think that as EAL has gotten more popular, he’s gotten more douchey? If you watch his old videos, he was humble and had a great personality. Then about two or three years ago, he lost that personality and has just become almost cringeworthy. I watched this video because it’s The Old Course, but that’s the only reason… I personally can’t stand to watch him anymore because of the way he acts and talks and struts as he walks. It’s completely noticeable in the first episode of this round at St. Andrews when he starts talking down to his caddy, and continually complaining about hitting off the mats and blaming the mats for poor shots. I’m sure my opinion will get blasted by a thousand people who say I’m wrong, but I’d ask them to go watch the old videos (first season or two of Adventures In Golf are a great example of how he used to act), and then rewatch this one. Then try to tell me he’s not super douchey now. It’s really off putting and sad because I used to love his videos… now I can’t stand to watch or even hear him talk anymore.
Fantastic series.
Played the Old Course last summer with classic Scottish overcast conditions but lucky to not have a breath of wind in the air. I was only 10 the last time the Open was played at St. Andrews and did not really watch all too much of it to be honest. But this summer I will be watching closely to see which holes I pared that some of the pros will not. Such a great course.
beautiful. literally the only thing i was sad about was that you didnt give credit to your caddie. humble and great dude who no doubt helped you achieve such a wonderful experience that day! i know you probably thanked him a ton for what he did, but just to see him get credit in the video would have been great!
The music, lighting, emotion and general feel of the 18th hole was something close to a cinematic masterpiece. This was a great watch, thank you.
What an episode. You really painted the picture of the Old Course that I can’t wait to experience in the future. Kudos to Gary the caddie he did you good 👍 congratulations Erik 👏
What irons are you using?
Orange balls….. can’t be serious EAL?
Yep! My mate shot 75! Wouldn't off done it on his own like major help off a caddy 🤌
Cue slow clap
I feel like he could of listened to his caddie a bit more but I love these break 80/90 videos.
I never comment, but the emotion of that par followed by the walk up 18 was palpable. Really felt like I was there with you experiencing it. Sure I’m not the only one. Absolutely superb Erik 👏👏👏
Well done son.
best video series yet……thanks for sharing
This was a thing of beauty. Need to travel north of the border to play the old course at some point in my life. It's on the huge list of courses I'm getting through
