I was once present when from 65 feet away and 15 feet above the cup, the little white ball spent about 15 minutes, turning left to right, and dropped square into the cup after curving about 30 feet left to right, and scored a birdie. I would love tell you I made the putt, but all I did was hit the ball with my ancient Arnold Palmer blade, and then just stood there, completely dumbfounded. My plan: if I can get closer, I might be able to three putt for a double bogie. The putt apparently made itself. I was just the guy holding the club. Know what I mean? What a splendid thing golf is!
