  1. I'm throwing in some Solomon GTX 4 something or other. They're ok, but don't feel nearly as good as those Altras. I want that comfort in a disc golf shoe

  2. i've stripped the soles off two pairs of shoes so far (hiking shoe and sneaker), and my backup shoe (keen hiking sandal) is barely holding on by a thread; i haven't even been playing for a year. i'm curious enough to check these out, but hesitant to buy a dedicated disc golf shoe. would you wear these as a daily shoe, or at least as a hiking shoe, or save them strictly for the course?

  3. Those are cool 🤘, another shoe that's great for disc golf is the Adidas s2g mid high rain ready shoes they are for Ball golf and they are amazing waterproof up to your ankle tons of traction

  4. Super helpful. I will look out for the next generations of this. Breathability is a huge factor for me.

  5. How about including a diagram of how they are constructed, what material, sewn or glued, and where they are made and by whom.
Perform some sort of water tightness test.
And what colors do they come in?

Personally, I don't like black shoes. I know I know, "black" is the current fad but I've never been one to follow fads or trends.

On a warm-hot day, in the high desert, black is absorbing heat not repelling it. I don't like hot feet. They tend to sweat.

However on a cold winter day with 6-8" of snow, I hope that they don't leak.

In the close up it looked like you already had a hole/tear in the side where the shoe meets the sole. For only two months, that’s not a reliable purchase.

  7. My favorite shoes for disc golf are Barefoot shoes. I wear Xero shoes. Ive worn Terrex, Merrel, Keens, and suprisingly the barefoots have held up the longest. I think its due to the flexibility of the materials. I have a pair I've had for over a year playing at least 3x a week and they are still holding up great.

  8. I think that the Idio shoes are a great jump off for people to make footwear designed for Disc Golf. I must say I do prefer Adidas Skychasers over any other shoe I have worm thus far. Not water proof but as far as comfort and price I think they check all the boxes(for me anyway). Idio is solid but for the price, there are a lot of options in the $120/$130 class of shoe. Look at what most of the pros wear. There is a reason most are wearing the same.. er… near same shoes.

  9. thin sounds like a plus to me! Took a while getting used to that with barefoot shoes but now I love it and normal shoes feel like I'm wearing a cast on my feet

  10. Your close up of the shoes showed separation of the sidewall from the sole..you didn't discuss that. I find that concerning for only 2 months of use.

  11. I've been using vivobarefoot for disc golf, theyre just perfect for this sport

  12. Nice shoes. Can you please raise the f stop on your camera though so everything isn't blurry? Thanks.

  13. I can't get get 6 months out of a disc golf shoe except for clunky ungraceful Keens. Let us know in 4 months, please. And shoes are expensive. A year would be nice.

  14. I think you need to get some facts straight. Disc golf has seen and has had dedicated disc golf shoes in the past made by Keen. Idio has been lying about this fact from the beginning.

  15. There aren't actually the first disc golf shoes…. Bite, keen, and latitude have all had a run at it. And the first two were actually great shoes. They were just ahead of their time. I'd love to see them try it again, as I had both the keens and the bites and had no complaints. Ask Uncle Ken, he wore the bites for years!!!!

  16. Must be nice, I've ordered mine so long ago I've went through 2 pairs of extra disc golf shoes waiting for them……. I hope they live up to the hype cause the wait was so so long!!!!!!!!

  17. lol, i went and checked the website and even if I order now, I won't receive them until after the entire season has passed. Completely pointless to advertise products not available to the public. An actual shoe company will release something before these make it to market. lol, wtf this has been a kickstarter for almost a year now. I found shoes on the market already like this after searching for 5 minutes.

  18. been beating up my altras without that toe protection haha. hard to beat how comfy I feel in them but especially on courses with more mud/water these would be sweet

  19. Really would love to try these, but the delay in shipping until Oct is really a bummer. Need new shoes too 😞
