  1. PGA is going to have to finally adjust fo modern times. And it looks like they got their message, by them increasing the payout to players. That's the 1st step they needed to do. PGA itself gets plenty of TV revenue for quite some time. It took LIV Golf to make them start to share it like most other sports in the USA do. Next step they need to do is incorporate the rule of the "cut" and allow all the players to make some money too. Monopolies are known to ruin the competition which lends credence to better competition. Without competition the product and service from monopolies become watered down. Year back laws were put in place to make it difficult to form monopolies in business. It made a huge difference in a positive way for the consumers. Today that is no longer true. Monopolies rule once again and consumers no longer have as many choices. Mother companies who own most of the companies from their competition use different company names, but they only appear to be competitors. LIV golf has put a huge dent early on to bring back competition to the world of professional golf. I watched both London and Portland tournaments and found it a lot more fun to watch than a PGA tournament and way more exciting. The crowds seem to go wild like as if Tiger Woods was golfing for many of the golfers playing at the LIV there.

  2. My first impressions of LIV Golf are good.

I'm not doing a full analysis, nor am I passing any judgment on LIV or the players (positive or negative) until all 8 events are complete

  3. It infuriates me when the PGA Tour & DP World Tour get upset at this considering they have done tournaments in Saudi Arabia before (Saudi International)

I see it as nothing more than jealousy & overreaction on their parts. Time to adjust to the times boys

  4. It's the money. That's it. All this chatter and "reasons" and complications. LIV is writing huge checks. That's the reason. Period.

  5. Back in the mid 1970’s Kerry Packer started World Series Cricket, that move changed the staid old game, next was Super League (Rugby League) same result, it’s about time gold got this. The players should be able to play where they choose. It seems odd to me that Jay Monaghan is the only person making decisions against players, does the PGA only have this grub as a spokesman, oh yeah Rory using words that appear to be scripted. How can Dustin Johnson be fined when he has resigned? Get it together. The fans are loving LIV and it’s great

  6. Sorry the pga tour has many Saudi sponsors, they do business in China and they allowed pga tour players to play in a tournament in SA earlier this year. The pga tour doesn’t have the high ground

  7. Until the US government stops begging to buy oil from Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, and importing anything from China or Russia, there is no credible criticism anyone can make about these players earning whatever anyone is willing to pay them.
How many sponsor patches are on Rory’s hat and shirt combined. I think his biggest sponsor is Nike, a company notorious for using child labor.
Any other sports stars signing contracts for less than they can get, somewhere????
Move on, and wish them well. If someone is willing to pay top dollar , to watch the non best players in the world, then who cares? Plus, it will force the PGA to raise their tournament purses, will the players thank the “ rebels “???

  8. It's a damn joke and you know it. The golf is garbage. The format is garbage. It's unwatchable crap. A blood money exhibition circus that won't last. There is no media rights and hardly anyone is watching. How long will the Saudis keep losing money, because that's all they will be doing.

  9. On the PGA tour you earn your way like it should be. Tired of watching Bryson drive 400 yards and miss the green from 100. Good riddance to all of them

  10. "The love of money is the root of ALL evil" (emphasis supplied). The players who exited the PGA for LIV Love the money, deny the heritage and history of golf as a whole and have fallen in love with the Saudi "Blood Money". Sad for golf, but normal for fallible men.

  11. So, the whole planet has been using Saudi oil for decades and nobody cared about human rights, but a golf tour make people outraged ?!!

  12. Don’t mix sport and politics. The pga kept black ppl out for how long? The pot calling the kettle black.

  13. No channel, Liv golf won't last…no government, is going to keep dishing out big money , and get no return…

  14. They snubbed a pga tour tournament to play in a liv golf tourney. Wether ppl like it or not these players are in the pga league. It is the same as Lebron james skipping games in the nba to go play in Europe for a week. They represent the league. They are free to leave but don’t be surprised at the response from the pga and the fact that they have to relinquish their tour card.

  15. De Chambaeu, listen to and learn from Billy Horschel ! He is a man and not an -fake-excusses-using-coward like LIV players. You guys are no role models, you are selfish and fake. Shame to the golf sport !

  16. 9/11
If Australia had been attacked, would Greg Norman being doing this?
What a great time to FINALLY release the 9/11 Commission Report in its entirety, unredacted.

  17. As a professional sportsman anybody should be able to sell their services wherever they choose. If anyone was offered 6 times what they are currently earning, for doing the same job, why would you not take that job. Golfers are no different.

  18. Who gives a rats a__ about LIV? The majority of them are all washed up anyway. Wouldn't it be funny after a couple of years it folds. 🤣

  19. Look at what our own Government did to Iraq. We went into Iraq for one reason only and that was to Topple a Regime we didn't like. Our Government told a lie by saying Iraq had a part in 911and that they had Weapons of mass destruction. Both of these accusations were untrue and thousands of Iraqis were slaughtered. Then we found out that the Taliban were the terrorists behind 911 and they were hiding in Afganistan so we went in there too and killed Osama Bin laden and thousands of other Afganistan people then left in total disgrace under the Biden administration. So some PGA player's want to play golf funded by Saudi Arabia. Go for it guys and more power to you. We should have to problem as Americans with doing business with the Saudi government because we are no better or worse than they are.

  20. I hate Greg Norman and also know what caused his major breakdown in the final round of the Masters with a 7 shot lead. Lets just say he didn't get very much sleep Sat night!!

  21. The United States of America have murdered more people in the last 20 years then Saudi Arabia has ever murdered stick that in your pipe and smoke it, I can’t even name all the countries where we have been people get killed in the name of a spreading democracy, I’m a proud America and our government is evil and corrupt so maybe we should disassociate from anything associated with the US government like the PGA?

  22. What a bunch of hypocritical nonsense they’re getting paid a whole bunch of money so they’re gonna go play golf? Holy shit Batman if I’m a professional golfer and they’re gonna pay me $200 million just to show up that’ll buy a lot of beans and bacon, if you say that’s greedy that’s because you’re not an independent contractor who makes his living or her living in a little white Golf Ball you have no idea what you’re talking about.

  23. How is the PGA going to criticize anyone? They spent years discriminating against practically everyone that wasn’t a white male. 🤣😂🤣

  24. LIV golfers should tell MBS that the Saudis should start dumping oil on the global market so gas prices drop. They did it in 2014 when Russia invaded Crimea. Gasoline dropped to $2.00 a gallon.

  25. Bla bla bla…it's time for PGA x LIV for winner takes all $ 1 Billion. That will sparkle the audience. But just another league? The audience already have PGA championships.

  26. I don't care who funded li v I love watching golf if they give me live feed on YouTube they will have a new viewer

  27. Where is all the outage about the NBA and their involvement with China. That country has more human rights violations than the Saudis. And players like Rory who bad mouth LIV need to chill and mind their own business. Players are still free to go and play where they want and the PGA is not the godfather of golf.
