  1. very true, also Lee Trevino states that holding the club at its end promotes an over the top swing and also it causes to hit fat

  2. I have no confidence with driver to the point where for the last 5 rounds I have used 5wood off the tee to keep me in play. Any tips to get me back using the driver. When I use it, I have no idea where it’s going to go usually a pull left.

  3. I agree you have more control I’ve started doing this I’ve also got my hand in a better position now so the shots are straighter just got too make sure I do it

  4. I don't know why, but if I grip down on the club like you suggest in this one, at the bottom of the swing, the club head hops up about one inch ..almost every time.

  5. I used to do this and wear out gloves. I changed ages ago and even interlock now to take out the variables although still vary grip for shaping and mid club distances…

  6. Alex. I literally buy new gloves all the time because it wears out, specifically there in the palm. Gonna try this out on the range tomorrow, thanks for the tip!

  7. I have really struggled with doing this. I have this "swing thought" at the driving range and as soon as I get to the course, I feel like I won't hit it far enough down the fairway to have a short iron into the green. This lack of confidence has nearly always resulted in some recovery shot out from the trees or rough. This needs to be preached more that middle of the face contact at 110mph(swing speed), out the middle is better than 117mph off the heal or toe. Smash factor really matters!!

  8. I gotta say grabbing the wedges and small irons more towards the end of the grip 100% give me more distance and accuracy isn’t a problem at all. Driver though…have to agree 100% cause I learned the hard way lol. Great video as usual bro!

  9. I'm all ears….

    Go on

That last distance tip you did made a lotbof sense. All I want tommorow is 10 greens in regulation… I'll let you know

  10. Good video Alex 👍👍👍another good tip which has absolutely got me nailing drives is I stretch the driver out on my back swing..I reckon I’m getting 20 yards further average now measured the other day between 260 and 295…dependent…I will have a look at your grip advice as does make perfect sense and my course stover in Devon is very tight 😱😱😱

  11. I was asking a fellow golfer about the hole in the glove just yesterday. I’ve just started back into playing after 20 years and have found myself seemingly choking up a bit. Perhaps I should’ve been leaving that alone as it my be a muscle memory thing. I’ll try leaving my grip where it’s been naturally ending up and see how that goes.

  12. Great video !! I was "Overswinging" the club becuase of excessive wrist hinge !! Part of the culprit was because I was gripping it in the tip / end so I had no support and the club would hinge more at the top !!

  13. how do i keep my game consistent, I would be great one round the then the next round i play i would chunk, blade and slice my shots

  14. I moved my hand down the grip 1/2” on all my clubs after seeing this. What a difference, more compression, better strike with my irons and less flipping, more control on my wedges and driver. I’m converted. Great video Alex! 👍🏼

  15. Thank you SO much for this tip. I tried it out today and my driving/long irons were revolutionised! Specifically I could swing faster without losing control. Top man !
